Misty Morning Cottages — Hotel in Rockwood Strip T1 R1 NBKP

Misty and Joe are nothing short of super hosts. They'll help you as little or as much as you need. I cannot thank them enough for being so accommodating during our stay and with the many questions I had leading up to the trip. My family and I were looking for a peaceful getaway and we surely found it here. The cabins are rustic and provide the feeling of camping while being able to have amenities such as a bathroom, kitchen and beds. Joe was kind enough to take our family via his personal boat to Mt. Kineo so we could hike for a few hours. That was certainly a highlight of our trip and the view from the top is incredible. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and Joe even taught them how to tie some different knots and the trick to catching bait fish. We had lovely neighbors which made our experience even better. We were fortunate enough to be their during a meteor shower and the the views sitting outside and in the loft bedroom with all of the windows upstairs made for an experience my family will never forget. If you're looking for a place with the friendliest people, to get away from being connected to your personal devices (although wifi does exist in the main house), and to truly soak up all of the beauty of Moosehead Lake, this is your place! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Misty Morning Cottages, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Joe and Misty were incredibly friendly and welcoming, almost like personal tour guides for the area, which made exploring even more enjoyable.

The highlight of the trip was the canoe that came with the cottage—it was an amazing way to immerse ourselves in nature. The cottage itself was immaculate, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. Even the blankets were freshly washed, which was a nice touch.

But the absolute best part was the breathtaking view of Mount Kineo. Waking up next to a large window with that stunning scenery right outside was an experience I will never forget. My wife brought me here as a birthday surprise, and it was truly the best gift I could have asked for.
