This is probably the worst hotel. Both the front desk manners and quality. From the first day I checked in I was feeling my skin was itchy and red patches developed. On their website it shows the rooms all booked up/full. But when I reached customer service immediately the lady could tell there are standard rooms available at this hotel. At the time of reservation on their customer service line I was not even given a confirmation number, I tried to reach the hotel to confirm if my booking is intact but no one answers the call even after several tries at different times. Eventually through customer service I could connect ( they paged the receptionist named Kelly ). She told me you need to be here before 7 PM ( they only check-in between 11 am and 7 Pm ) even if you have reservation but I did notice some people are check in 10 pm in the night and once I noticed the lady Kelly was checking some one in during weekends. Soon after reaching she was forcing me to rent the larger rooms at higher price and told she only have those rooms. I insisted I reserved a standard room because I am single person. I told her the rooms are too large for me, then she gave standard room ( she was somehow trying to force people to take dirty, old, stinky rooms at higher price when she has standard rooms available ). Above all, this is one of the cheapest hotels in Pittsburgh area so not many expectations but we do expect the minimum amenities. There are no mosquito net for any room I noticed in this hotel. But there is forest area all around it, every day I happen to fight with large winged insects that jump in through window because whenever I turn on AC machine my skin was itchy. they never replaced the pads from the day this unit was installed. The toilet leaks water while flushing. Stove was not working, I had to tap it multiple times to make it work, everyday food was burning while cooking. If tell them they just come and see and dirty the shower area with their shoes and do nothing saying the plumber is on leave, will do it when he returns. I endured all this because I am very cool guy and once I check-in I do not prefer change rooms. The staff there have very good package salary, benefits, training, vacation etc. almost like any major hotel chains. The problem is management, they probably feel they are giving the hotel at cheapest rates why not have fun by harassing guests. Even though the rooms are available they turn down customers. They have some corporate discounts for companies like DAVEY and probably few more discounts which I never heard of. Of course when pay so less money for weekly rates which is $269/- per week plus $5 technology fees for accessing internet per week plus tax which comes to $312/- per week, you cannot expect much but do everyone living up there can pay that much even if 3 people living in same room at no additional charge. It is mainly attitude of front desk staff and maintenance that makes this hotel worst. If you plan to stay for more than 2 weeks I do not recommend this hotel. The people live in this hotel mostly do not have cars so they take public transit in front of the hotel. The house keeping is worst, I told the housekeeping lady to complete my house keeping immediately because i am expecting a interview call, she told I will do it but never turned up because the receptionist Kelly diverted her to another room They come whenever they want, there by harassing guests. If you are a decent man don't go there. Worst hotel and Worst experience. Different types of people is not a complaint because for that rate may be right to expect, I do not care what type of people live there but do care what type of experience I have due to my skin being itchy, it is not safe to inhale dirty air, infected air coming out AC unit which is a health hazard, you might get pneumonia at later stages so when it is too much hot I just used to turn on the AC for few minutes and once room is cool turn off, same is the case before going to bed. The receptionists attitude is as if they are doing favor by keeping you in the hotel looking carelessly without respect towards guests as if we are living there for free, probably they have their choices of people to keep there. I feel some of the rooms are rented to welfare recipients and refugees, probably government only pays lower monthly rates to management for them. Every week I used to go to the reception to pay for the next week by 11 am the first time they open the office for the day, you need to pay by 12 noon else $25/- late charge. My card stops working by 10 am in the morning whereas checkout time is 12 noon, be careful you will be locked out for more than an hour before office opens. Third class., cheap hotel, they need not have to be so. If their hotel is booked up fast due to their rates why they have corporate discounts and harboring welfare...
Read moreThe internet service works maybe Monday through Friday. After the employees leave on Friday afternoon, there is no more internet service on weekends, even though it is a paid service. The hot water service operates maybe Monday through Friday, and during my stay, in the winter, there was no service on several consecutive weekends. After the employees leave on Friday, there is no more service, and they refuse to provide phone numbers and information about who can help. And the person at the counter, Duwan33, mocks and ridicules, and his response is that if he doesn't like it, he can just leave, to which I replied that they should provide the services paid for and provide professional assistance. There is no phone number you can call to report complaints or claims, and because of this, the managers feel empowered to insult and mistreat you since there is NO higher authority to control their demands. There is an online form they tell you you can fill out, but you never receive a response, and because of this, the managers do whatever they want, as they please. The stoves don't have lights so you can see what you're cooking, and the refrigerators don't have guards to hold bottles or juices.
Managers
During my stay there, from April 12, 2024 to April 16, 2025, I was with the managers: Duvan, Naobi, Lisa, and Norma.
Duvan is the most unpleasant person you could ever meet as a person and as a hospitality manager. We had arguments on every occasion and at every opportunity. Whenever I demanded that he do his job, he consistently refused and began to respond to me, even daring to tell me on multiple occasions that if I didn't like it, I should look elsewhere. Duvan is a person with very poor professional judgment, engaging in improper procedures, and attempting to pry into everyone's private lives. Duvan was fired. Naobi is the best that place has to offer, helpful, courteous, and possessing the talents of a person suited for the job. Always attentive to the needs she was able to meet and help. I think she's the only person there who understands hospitality and respect. I had very little contact with Lisa. But I must say she's very professional in her service and operations. She was there on my last day at that place. 4. Norma is rude, vulgar, boorish, unhelpful, arrogant, and despotic. Starting with the fact that she can't even say hello, on April 2, 2025, she tried to confiscate my car and take it to the tow yard, even though I explained that my car was legally registered and that it was my vehicle. She consistently refused to listen to me, as did a person in charge of services, Dell. And when I told her I was going to call the police, she started yelling at me and told me to tell them her name was "Norma." Which I did, and a police officer named Chris showed up on the scene, to whom I explained the ordeal of staying in a place like that. Chris told me about the complaint form, and I explained that it was useless because I had already used it without satisfactory results. On April 4th, my door wouldn't open, and there was no way in. Also on April 7th, the internet service didn't work, despite charging for a service that doesn't work properly. On April 12th, the door wouldn't open again. To this day, I wonder who hires them and if they receive any kind of training because there's no indication that any of them receive any.
Conclusion: Due to the poor management, service, respect for people and the work they do, professionalism, and hospitality, I DO NOT recommend anyone stay at this place for any reason.
And when I decided to leave and look for other hotels in the neighborhood, I found Carnegie and Cranberry with better services, complimentary breakfast, and staff with much better training in hotel service, respect for people, and professionalism in their service.
My overall rating for this "hotel" out of 1 to 5 is 0. They are far below a decent rating in every way. is not a...
Read moreOk. Where do I even start?! I wish I could give it less than 1 star.. so, check-in is at 3, I arrived at 2:55, and the security gate is pulled down over the desk with a phone number to call posted. I called and left them know I was at the desk and was told wait 10 minutes. Someone showed up at 3:15 and informed me that the desk is closed from 1 to 3... I'm thinking hmm, so if check-in is AT 3, you wouldn't be very prepared for guests if you're not behind the desk ready to lift the gate at that time. Be prepared for document signing. They want you to be fully aware that you need to pay for the room in full up front, and there will be no refunds. They told me to go look at my room before I signed because of this.. seems nice and thoughtful, right? Let me start by saying that from the door, and I mean the front door, from the parking lot, there are signs of trouble. I'll suffice it to say that a lot of undesirables stay here and kinda sit around the lot. Upon entry, you can see the place is absolutely filthy. I mean, the pictures I post here, do it NO justice! So when I went on the walk through of the room, I was appalled. I have no words... even though this post is long, I have no actual words to describe it. To help get the idea across, I'll say that my daughter and I did not stay there all week. The ONLY reason I signed those papers is because she is chronically ill, and we had just driven 16 hours from Florida and could not take the time to find another place. We were pretty much stuck. Believe me, I complained, she cried, and it was a nightmare. No options, no discount, no remorse. There were repairs they had to come to the room to make on the bathtub we couldn't use the first night. I bought cleaning supplies to make it somewhat usable. I was locked out of the room 3 times because the key stopped working... I only slept there one night, in all my clothes, on top of my coat because i didn't want to touch anything! Wish I could've stayed elsewhere the whole week. We were told we didn't have the upgraded room, and that's why it seemed worn out. I'm like, worn!? Renovation has nothing to do with cleanliness! If you're short staffed like that, the managers need to roll up their sleeves. They're getting over because of location, I guess the few renovated rooms they offer, and kinda reasonable long-term stay rates, which are helping some people out, but.. you've...
