We stayed here for one night. The park is right off I-30, so it's an easy drive to businesses in that area. The campground was clean and it looks like the rules are enforced. We didn't utilize any of the extra amenities like the pool and pond, but they seemed to be decent. There were kids running around from the pool out into the paths of vehicles (ours) so do drive slow and pay close attention as the parents weren't paying any attention. We noticed this several times. We had spot 2 which wasn't the greatest spot in the park, but it served our needs ok. It was a pull through 30amp with water and sewer and more than accommodated our 30 ft. trailer plus truck. The spots are gravel and are close together, but there was some grass and a picnic table at each spot. It is mostly open, not a lot of trees and there does seem to be a lot of full-timers here, but that was ok. The reservation process was a bit inconvenient - you have to call and if you call when they're not in you leave your name and # and they will call you back. I did and they did call back luckily when I was available to answer. They do have WiFi here, but ours was spotty like it is at most RV parks. They offer discounts like Good Sam and a Law Enforcement discount, so that was helpful. Since we do have a travel trailer, we don't require restrooms and showers, but we did go in and use their restroom while the hubby was emptying the tanks and hooking up the trailer. They weren't anything special, but were clean and decent. Check out is 12pm.

Really nice campground... (ex KOA camp). The best thing from my point of view was that almost all of the RV sites are pull-through (I'm lazy, especially when I'm tired, and don't like having to back in...). Sties are gravel and pretty level. Hookups are in the right places (if you know what I mean). The sites are rather close together, but you shouldn't come to a place like this expecting Natl. Forest type privacy. Restrooms were clean and the showers were amazing with multi-head outlets. It looks like it would be a great place to bring kids... swimming pool, playgrounds, lots of room to roam, and no-license catch and release fishing in the lake. I'll stay here again if I come through this area again.

We were here for 2 weeks and after full timing for the last 2 months, it was our favorite park yet! Super friendly people here, not only the staff taking care of the property but the visitors as well. Lots of kids, some of which will offer to take your trash to the bin for a small fee. :) Lovely bathrooms, showers and laundry. Ice was a bit pricey and the weekly rate isn't prorated if you want to do additional days so if you want to save a lot, must book whole week segments. They also have a great monthly rate, but there's a waiting list for that because this place is so great!

If you're passing through and need a quick stay, maybe even a week or two, this place is for you. If you DON'T have kids.. this place is for you. Upon arriving back in August, we loved it, we made friends, the kids enjoyed the park and pool! They loved the freedom. Very quickly the rules changed. Children under 14 years of age were not allowed unattended at the park. They claimed this was "always a rule but never enforced." Until we got there unfortunately. All of the kids there were really sad about this and if any of them were on the playground with out an adult... even at 9, 10, 11 or 12 years old. Front office staff would immediately come out and run them off. The weekend staff, maintenance workers, were great. Their main front office staff, an older man and woman.. are like prison gaurds. If you are a permanent resident, this becomes EXHAUSTING. Absolutely zero totes outside, nothing for storage, etc... if you live in an RV you understand how difficult it is to live without a tote. No trashcans in front of your camper, kids can't leave toys out, NOTHING touching grass, etc. Some of these rules I understand are completely normal, but you will be harassed, hounded, she even chased my husband down asking if he lived there when we had been there for four weeks. After living there for so many weeks and talking to so many other permanent residents, they were all moving out.. and for the same reason, the main front office workers. Another staff member told me when we came in to put our notice in, we were the 10th permanent resident to move out so quick after so many rules AND pricing had changed. None of the pricing information they give is correct and just about ever other person pays a completely different price. Oh and if you have children, they're $30 a pop, per month. Grandkids come to visit? $5 a pop per night, every single time they stay overnight and visit. My kids road their bikes near the office and the husband came out AND SCREAMED at them to get off the front office area, my four year old was in tears... Needless to say, nothing is accurate and consistent. The new RV park we moved to has MULTIPLE people from Dallas NE Campground and so many more coming as soon as their rent is up and due. So anyways, like I said, it's a beautiful place and if you want to briefly stay it's probably okay, but if you're looking for a permanent and you have kiddos, OR you like being hounded constantly.. this is the place for you. They should give their weekend staff Mikayla the manager's position, she is amazing, so sweet and kind. The older two need to just let her have it. 90% of the park will also say...

I have been here at Dallas North East Campground when it was under the previous owners. It is now under new ownership. I’m a disabled, older Veteran with a 43’ foot fifth wheel. This park has made a complete 180 degree turn around. I’m still in total dismay. They have some very nice cabins and a couple of them you could fish off the back porch. Literally, the back decks are over the water. A nice walking path around the pond, basketball court, a gym in the works and a kids playground. They have some paved sites as well. I’m in a gravel site which fits my needs. No dust at all. The restrooms and showers are very clean. Washers and dryers that work. A game room and small store for your bare essentials and they sell propane on site. Staff is very considerate and social-able. The new owners care about their park and it shows. A family oriented park but still nice for us single people. The staff is very firm about people who break the rules. Which is a big plus. I moved here to exercise more and it’s dust free. The biggest plus for me is the pool. This park is worth checking out. By far the best park on this side of East Texas for the price. I will be here a while. All you have to do is come and check it out and you will be sucked in like me haha. It’s that nice. I was checking out some of the bad reviews. Those reviews which I looked at are when the park was under the previous owners. Believe me I know what you are talking about. This park is under new ownership and it’s like night and day compared to the previous owners. You won’t even believe your eyes. Did I mention they have storage on site. Y’all...
