Overall we really LOVED this park as a whole. There are pros and cons. It has the potential to literally be THE best park in the area. The location is great too. We had to stay in a different park, before coming here, which was a horrible experience so we decided to check out ALL the RV parks in Ruidoso for our next visit and we did. We were disappointed in ALL the parks. They were all SUPER tight spaces which we hate. When you can't even put your awning out, time to scratch that one off the list! When we got to Bonito Hollow we were very surprised!! The sites are spacious and the entire park is beautiful and charming. The staff is great and I really like being escorted to my site. The mule deer came down the mountain most mornings and we saw bears on the mountain a few nights using my husband's thermal monocular. There were a few cons however; the internet is horrible. And where we stayed (#53) the mountain blocked our satellite. They do not have cable. Cell service nonexistent! The sites are gravel and dirt, which has not been an issue until this visit. Our site ended up being a messy muddy mess with the rain. Even with no rain, we tracked dirt in and our coach stayed dirty the entire time, which was annoying. We had to throw our big rug away as it was ruined from the dirt and mud. Not a great place for kids, nothing to really do. The flies were almost unbearable!! We spoke with others and they said the flies are usually not this bad so we're not sure what was happening. But there were times we just had to go in due to the flies. If the owners would put in concrete sites and patios this park could and would be a game changer! I know the rates would go up but I would happily pay. Maybe just concrete along the mountain sites. Would also like to see more landscaping, weeds were growing all around our site and a weedeater would work wonders. Like I said, the potential of this park is unlimited! We would definitely stay here again, as it is the ONLY place to stay in our opinion but just wishing for a...

My wife and I travel to Ruidoso about four times a year. On one of our last trips we found Benito hollow RV Park. This was unlike any other RV park in Ruidoso. It still had that in the woods Feeling plenty of space between campers and an eye for detail in the layout of the spaces. We stayed for 4 days and the campground was amazing. Beautiful place to go. Hiking close to everything. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We made our reservation for a site with full hookups and we're not disappointed. It was actually nice not to have phone service. But for emergencies you can hook up to the internet and download WhatsApp for talking to family and friends if you need to. The camp hosts were very friendly and very knowledgeable about everything going on in the area. We would recommend this RV park to anyone who's looking for a spot to get away and just relax. We were there in September and in the evenings and in the mornings you could hear the elk bugling and the deer would walk right into camp and mill around all morning. Very friendly for children also very safe. Highly recommended. We will return time and time again. #2 just returned from another trip to Ruidoso July 11th through 14th. Stayed at Bonito hollow had reservations. Staff was fantastic. They kept us informed daily about the conditions there that it was safe to come on down and the areas to stay out of that had mudslide trouble. We had a great stay. Sad to see all the devastation in Ruidoso but everybody was working hard and bouncing back. Had a great time hiking and fishing in the creek there on site. Another great trip thanks to...

beautiful town, but will not return to this campground, workers were friendly, felt like we were treated a little differently compared to other campers, disappointed in the way we were treated the last night we were there we had traveled in from Albuquerque 1st time camping in ruidoso usually stick up north, spent alot of money on this camping trip my husband and I have been working alot of hours and saving up to enjoy our 1st vacation since covid started..last night we were there we were told to shut a movie off that we had on for our kids "trolls" which our Friends kids 8 and 10 were watching with my 6 year old twin boys barley could hear the movie cause the workers around us had to get up at 6am to work?? Like get real its called a vacation and a get away we couldn't even enjoy our time , literally we found something to do outside of the campground every day we were there to get away from all the rules... it was a beautiful campground just think our kind doesn't fit in with what type of groups they usually have staying. Super uncomfortable the whole time, felt like we were being watched and judged. Unfortunately we were excited for nothing the 1st and ONLY vacation our family had this year was so disappointing. If you are a younger couple with kids I wouldn't recommend staying at this campground better to look for an airband...

My favorite RV park! We come here twice a year. It's near the little mountain town of Ruidoso NM. Most of this area was destroyed by the little bear fire in 2012. This is a small family owned RV park. The owners and camp hosts are super friendly. A must stay for a quiet mountain getaway. #FYP #family #beautiful #adventure #rvlife #ruidosonewmexico #altonewmexico #ruidosonewmexico #KZRV1972 #sportster280th #bonitohollowrvpark #fordf250superduty

Really liked our stay at this park with the exception of power issues at our site (58). Every afternoon our Hughes Watchdog would kill power to our trailer due to low voltage on one leg of the 50amp service. Power would cycle on and off multiple times throughout the afternoon until temps cooled down and there was less demand on the system. This made for some uncomfortable afternoons with A/C going off and on. Our neighbors seem to have been unaffected but I’m assuming that is because they did not have any kind of power management that monitored for low voltage. We also had a ‘missing ground’ error on the 30amp outlet when I tried it. Both issues were reported to park management twice but no one ever came to look at the pedestal or check in with us on the problem. Other than the above issue we really liked the park. It was clean and the spaces were not crammed right on top of each other. WiFi was available (No cell service with Verizon) and it worked pretty good. We plan to return at a future time but we won’t be staying in space 58.

Bonito Hollow Rv Park was so beautiful and quiet. The staff was very friendly. The amenities such as the showers and restrooms were very well kept and very nice. The view and surrounding area was gorgeous. We had a nice little river that ran behind our campsite and our little dogs loved it. The only thing I would say needs to be better was the WiFi. While we were here our campsite flooded during a downpour however this was not the fault of the campground itself and it didn’t hurt or damage anything. We even had a mama hummingbird and her babies on a tree branch directly above our campsite and she would visit us quite often. We really enjoyed our 5 night/6 day stay here and would definitely visit again. Definitely recommend to anyone.
