I have had the pleasure of visiting Royal Creek Ranches from its early on stages before the lodge and now with the lodge included. It is a spectacular ranch with much to do. The Pioneer homes and wagons have been restored to give reverence and respect to the first settlers in the Tooele Valley who’s hard labor is apparent through the structures left behind. I have hunted pheasants and Chukars as well as shot clay pigeons at the trap range. It’s a place that you can go from getting dirty in the western surroundings to an elegant lodge built with a lot of heart and rustic features. Huge Elk antler Chandeliers adorn the main rooms in the lodge. The lodge is spacious with a huge rock fireplace in the center. The 1 inch rebar gives the balcony railing a magical finish. Used timbers With old bolts and nail holes throughout add a sense of ruggedness. Its exterior and stairways are made of wood collected from Oklahoma drill rigs. I can’t say enough about it’s spectacular beauty. They even have a quaint little gift shop full of hats, jackets, tees and hoodies so your memories of your stay will be kept alive through apparel.
