āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Perfect Spot to End Our RV Trip!

We ended our 10-day RV trip at Emberglow Campground, and it turned out to be the perfect final stop. Everything felt super well-maintained, modern, and thoughtfully designed. We stayed at site #16, which was right across from the pool—an ideal location for our family. Our site had a great picnic table set up on a small deck with fencing around it, which was awesome for drying towels and keeping our stuff tidy and out of the way.

There’s a ton to do without ever leaving the campground—disc golf, hiking trails, cornhole, volleyball, a big inflatable bouncy pad for the kids, and even a tented area for groups. But our favorite feature was definitely the pool. It was big, beautiful, nicely landscaped, and just the right temperature—not too warm, not too chilly. Plus, there’s built-in seating inside the pool, which made lounging extra relaxing.

We also felt really safe letting our daughter ride her bike around on her own, which is such a gift when you’re traveling with kids. The public bathroom and shower areas were super clean and even cutely decorated—we didn’t use the showers since we were in our RV, but it was nice to know how nice they were.

They also have some fun lodging options like yurts and vintage airstreams, and some of the sites even have little outdoor kitchen setups. It’s only about an hour and 20 minutes from home (we’re in Asheville), so we’re already talking about coming back for a quick weekend getaway sometime soon.

Highly recommend this place—relaxing, fun, clean, and just an...

My family and I (me, wife, and two kids ages 4 and 7) just stayed here over the past weekend. This was a really terrific place to stay with kids. It feels like a luxury campground. We rented a trailer and it had the perfect balance of amenities to make camping easy while not taking you out of nature. The campground is large enough to keep the kids engaged in different activities (pool, jumping pad, exploring in the creek) but small enough for us to feel like we could let them explore with a level of independence we wouldn't feel comfortable with at a larger and busier campground. There is a wide range of camping options from tent-sites all they way up to fully equipped yurts and tiny houses. My overall take is that these people have done a great job creating a place that can allow us to go camping without making it so much dang work!

The bathrooms and showers were sparkling clean and beautifully tiled. They look like they're out of a luxury hotel. Showers had clean towels ready for use, and had soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in each one... never seen that at a campground before!

Staff was SUPER kind and helpful. They will deliver firewood to your site if you ask, and there is a food truck that will deliver food to your site as well. We did most of our cooking ourselves, but it was wonderful to know that we had the option to just get something delivered if we were too worn out.

Overall, had a wonderful time. We are already planning our next trip and inviting some other friends to come along. We definitely...

I have nothing but positive things to say about Emberglow Outdoor Resort! My family and friends spent a week in March at Emberglow. We had a blast creating unforgettable memories. The kids spent countless hours on the jump pad, gaga ball pit, and playground. Kids and adults had fun hiking the many trails on the property and of course, the camp fires at night were a hit. They also have a wonderful pool, if you visit when it is warm enough to swim. There were 5 adults and 7 kids in my group. We stayed in one of the tiny houses and in the 30 ft. yurt. There was a full kitchen and bathroom in the tiny house and the loft was a hit with the kids. The yurt had two spacious bedrooms and a very spacious bathroom. It also had a refrigerator, kitchen sink, microwave, and coffee maker. The water was always hot and the heat worked great, thankfully. The communal bathrooms and showers on the property were also very nice and extremely clean. All of the staff, especially the owner of the property, are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are having a great experience.

The location is about 15 minutes to Lake Lure (hiking, restaurants, shops, ziplining, horse back riding, water sports) and 45 minutes to Asheville (Biltmore, restaurants, shops). There is also a kid-friendly winery (Parker-Binns Vineyard) and a kid-friendly brewery (Iron Key) only minutes away. Definitely a plus for the adults. I highly recommend Emberglow Outdoor Resort for your...

Let's start with the good items- the pool is beautiful and the comfort station, store and unique lodgings were great. Our issue was with the camp sites. We booked a premium plus and premium campsite- 10 and 11. When calling to book they were listed as partial shade and creek side which sounded great. Upon arrival we found the campsite to be subpar. They are not level and the grading was poorly done. There was no shade at all until about 7 in the evening. The creek couldn't even be seen from the sites and was overgrown in areas. The view of the maintenance building and cars/trucks coming and going from there wasn't a selling point for us either. Especially at 60 per night. The fenced in dog area was nice to have but was also overgown. While staying in the unique lodgings might be fun our main draw for a place is the spacious and comfortable layout of the camp site. If you are more interested in the pool or amenities this might be your spot. For our family we wouldn't return unless more work had been done on the campsites themselves.

My wife and I really enjoyed our July 4th weekend at Emberglow. Our son and his wife and children and her parents all brought their RVs and we had a caravan. We all enjoyed ourselves. We took advantage of their pool, we played bingo, enjoyed the live band and the general family reunion vibe of the campground. They have a nice little camp store that has the basics for your camper you might need plus snacks and cold drinks They had a 4th of July campsite decoration contest that we took second place. The staff was always helpful, in fact they would deliver firewood and ice to your campsite . We took advantage of this and had ice delivered to us for our Margarita night. They have some very interesting permanent campsites that you can rent if you do not own an RV. Check them out on their website. We intend to return next year. Thank you Emberglow for a great time !
