My husband and I rented the Tiny Home. It is advertised as "Our newest edition". I assumed that it was about 2 years old. One of the owners told me that it was 10 years old. When we arrived the one owner took us to the unit and turned on the air conditioner. The unit was very old and loud. It is located right across the bed blowing on you. She was out of there pretty quick. We could not have it on at night because of the rattling and the loudness. My husband opened the front panel and needless to say, the filter was black. He took it off and washed it off. The screening behind the filter was worse than the filter. He brushed that off so we could breath better. I had to clean the plates on the electric stove because it had a build-up of burned food on it. No one cleaned them from the people before us. My husband went to open the window in the bathroom so we could shut the a/c off at night and have some air circulation to discover there was not screen on the window. The refrigerator would run for about 45 minutes before it would shut off. This unit is not energy efficient at all. I went to the office to speak to them about the noise of the a/c and the screen in the bathroom and I was told that there was nothing that they could do except move us to another unit. The other units are old. I would not stay in those. The one owner accused me of calling her a liar which I never did because I told her that it was hard for me to believe that no one has complained about the noise from the a/c. We agreed that they would reimburse us 2 nights if we wanted to leave. My husband went down to tell them that they were leaving to have the credit put on the credit card and they had they cash to the exact penny waiting for us. I deliberately held off on telling them about the dirty stove, the dirty a/c, all the dust under the bed, the ceiling fan was full of dust and that we also had to clean the grates on the grill because they had a built up them that no one cleaned because I knew I would be writing this review with their attitudes. I had some friends interested to going there. When I talk to them, unfortunately I will have to give them the bad news. My suggestion would be to call and inquire about this unit first to make sure that the a/c has been changed and look at the place right away to make sure everything is clean.
This is in addition to your response. Apparently your hearts and souls did not go into cleaning the cabin since it was dirty and not maintained that you have to pay more attention to your cleaning process. We know what a tiny house is. You just need to spend a little bit of money and become more energy efficient with your a/c and put a screen on your bathroom window. Not a whole lot of money to spend. I also forgot to mention that your dog pond was not fit for a dog to go into with all the green algae. Maybe you need to put in a system to circulate the water. We do not need your good wishes because we do not have any...
Read moreAs with all of my reviews I will present the Pros, the Cons and a Summary. This one is fairly easy in reality; this is a specialty campground and those who come here know what to expect. |Pros:|If you love dogs this is the place for you. From the acres of running areas to the swimming pond, this is truly a one-of-a-kind camping experience that will allow you to bond with both your own pups as well as your fellow camping dog lovers. |The store, while small, has sodas, snacks, dog treats and ice cream. It isn't there to provide groceries and doesn't pretend to be. It's there for convenience. |The doggie spa is amazing. Equipped with literally everything you will need to wash your fur baby after a "ruff" day camping, this wonderful amenity was clearly designed by someone who understands the needs of both dogs and their humans. |The trails are fun and safe; yet another amenity centered on taking your dogs out and about. |The pond was just fun for the pups. It is muddy colored which can be nerve wrecking for those who are concerned about snakes but in all of the times we took our goldens there we never saw one snake; doesn't mean they were not there. But not seeing them at least made me feel better about our dogs enjoying their swimming hole.|Each site is well shaded and easy in and easy out. It was still HOT while were we there but I can only imagine if we had been there about a month or so earlier how comfortable it would have been. |The utilities were predictable and updated. ||Cons:|We really looked forward to the lure course. The gal running it seemed like she was in a hurry to finish up only allowing each dog one time through and then saying she could see how tired they all were. Here's an idea - how about asking the owners and leaving it up to them. We were extremely disappointed that our pups only had one opportunity to give it a go and the other owners were equally disappointed by this unilateral decision. Which, by the way, was made after she had stated to all of us not to worry that the dogs didn't get it during their first try - they would do better in the second go once everyone had been in. |Our site, 27, was completely devoid of any grass. Like none - zero. This is amazing considering it's an upgrade private fenced site and this would really make a huge difference. The stones that make up the site were sharp and our pups didn't care for them. |There is VERY little for humans to do. Cornhole and watch your dogs have fun - other than that there are not a lot of other human amenities. Horseshoes, botchy ball and perhaps even a pickle ball court would be nice additions. ||Summary:|This is a VERY special place and the pros FAR outweigh the cons - thus my 5 star rating. Would we go again? Absolutely. Did we enjoy it? Immensely. But just go there knowing that it's for...
Read moreI'm not sure there are enough adjectives to describe how wonderful this place is!! A friend told me about Four Paws many years ago but I was never able to make the trip. Since that time Connie and Sandy, the new owners, have bought the campground and they have truly made it something very special. My mother and I had to make a trip to TN to pick up her corgi puppy from the breeder. We couldn't find any reasonable hotels near our destination. All the hotels were either poor quality or didn't allow pets. I remembered the campground and I had been following them on Facebook so I decided to give a look and a call!! The price of the cabin was about half the price of a hotel and no additional pet fees!! We rented the Bonnie cabin for the weekend and had a blast!!! Four Paws is more than just pet friendly. Everything is geared towards you and your dog having a peaceful retreat. My 3 yr old corgi Blossom doesn't like to travel. She likes car rides but hates hotels. She was in HEAVEN the whole weekend! She and my 4 month old puppy Baci had a BLAST!! They had their own little yard to play in. There are several dog parks, an agility course and even a Dog Pond! The weekend we were there they had the Lure Course open and Blossom gave it a try, as best her little corgi legs could do. One of the best parts for us this weekend was the Private Dog Park. Connie and Sandy have thought of every thing!!! The Private Dog Park is for dogs that might not enjoy a group setting, older dogs that need a peaceful place to explore without any interruption or in our case, we used it after we picked up my mom's puppy since she hadn't had all her shots yet. The three corgis had the best time!!!! Some details that we really appreciated: the bathhouses were extremely well fitted and clean, no one under 18yrs of age is allowed in the campground, there are poop disposable stations everywhere so if you forget a bag it's not a problem, fun social activities for both humans and dogs, scenic setting if you want to take lots of great photos of your dog in a natural setting, a great little shop with souvenirs and essentials in case you forgot something and best of all well observed quiet hours. Connie and Sandy have thought of every detail. They are both a joy to be around and you can tell they love what they do. On our ride home we talked about how we will be making many more trips to Four Paws Kingdom Campground in...
