Beautiful. Affordable. EASY. This place is nestled just off of Ranch Road 337 between Vanderpool and Leakey. That alone will keep me coming back -- but it gets better. When you rent a country cabin, you never really know what you're in for, but this place is well-built, cute, and peaceful. It's on Lower Sabinal River Road (we call it The Road to Utopia), which makes for an excellent hike through some truly beautiful country. Very close to TWO state parks: Lost Maples and Garner. The price was very reasonable for what you get. And the check-in-check-out process could not have been easier. We plan to bring our entire family here in the future.

Very pleasant stay over Easter weekend. We stayed in Solomon’s Den and it felt very welcoming the moment we stepped in. The cabins are all fairly close to each other but still private and situated in between several hills that create such a quiet and peaceful experience. There is also definitely no phone signal here but it’s a great way to tune the rest of the world out for a few days. In case of emergencies, we were able to get service at the rest stop just a few minutes up the road. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.

We just stayed there this past weekend. Completely off the grid connectivity-wise, these clean and comfy cabins in the heart of the Texas Hill Country are literally steps from the base of the most twisty and hilly part of FM 337, popularly known as one of the 'three twister sisters' - roads that are popular with drivers and bikers. The hiking and views are just stunning - and literally steps away. Bravo!

We had an awesome time. The cabin was fabulous! It was very quaint with a picturesque setting. The backyard with the swing on the porch and chairs made it very inviting to just sit and read. Wish we could have taken advantage of the fire pit for the evening, but understandably we could not do to the fire ban. However, the colored lights on the back porch were beautiful at night while sitting outside! Definitely will consider staying here in the future. Hostess was the best and even provided some 😋 tasty homemade pumpkin Walnut bread! Would highly recommend anyone to stay here that wants tranquility and peace. It was also very close to two state parks and shopping in small towns nearby. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed! It was a nice touch to put our name on the front of the cabin as well. Thank you for making our...

This lodge is quite immaculate and charming all wrapped up in one. We were welcomed with a personal greeting and treat. Everything in house fully loaded in its place providing easy access and usage. Saved us from additional packing. The early morning breeze and sounds of nature while having breakfast out back on the patio was so peaceful. Loved the patio lights and bbq area as well as the fire pit area. Absolutely loved the decor and atmosphere. No phone, internet, or WiFi service. Best to bring DVDs as a TV and DVD are available for those who need some entertainment other than nature. The drive to Leakey and the Frio river is less than 15minutes away while you enjoy the beautiful views of the valley and hills. Quite an experience to drive as it is a winding road and enjoyed the excitement of it. We definitely will...

Solomon's Den is likely the most fantastic couples cabin we have ever stayed. Romantic and beautiful in its construction and decor - Its setting is in some of the most beautiful countryside there is to see in Texas. All the amenities you could need for a romantic getaway are there when you arrive . The owner provides a bottle of red wine , some firewood, bubble-bathe with Epsom salts for the Jacuzzi bathtub and an enormous bed surrounded by windows and a spacious tin metal ceiling that glows fabulously when you make a hot fire. We cooked steaks out on the grill and looked up to see our amazingly clear milky way galaxy like we hadn't seen in decades. We hiked in the nearby Lost Maples State park which was great but truly we enjoyed our time in the cabin the most. We only wished we had...
