My family and I have been coming back to this spot in the summertime. The "day camper" area tends to fill up pretty quickly with families during the weekend, so if you want a nice spot in that area, you need to arrive fairly early on Friday to stay over the weekend. There is no way to reserve a spot at the "day camper" area, however, you are able to reserve a spot at the beach area for a much higher price. But if you want your spot to be there guarantee, then you must have to pay the higher price. There are also several cottages available to rent. The prices will vary based on family size, weekend versus weekdays and if the weekend is a holiday, so make sure to check their website for price details. We have stayed on 2 different cottages and they are not well kept, so please do not expect much of the cottages for the price you are paying (they are certainly not a 1-star hotel). The camp baths are ok, they are also not well maintained and are in desperate need of an update but in the years that I have stayed, they only renovated one section of the bathrooms. They need additional personnel to keep up with the cleaning of the bathrooms as many campers utilize them to bath after their time at the beach. The beach area has recently seen a change since they decided to install trash cans. The area is a little bit cleaner. The water is great for kids as the water does not have any waves and has barely any depth. One plus side to this location is they have a small convenience store which carries all sort of items that you may need in case you forget something at home. In general, the place is really old, not well kept and it's screaming to be remodeled. Hope Mike, the owner of the place, can someday invest a bit more into the cottages and camp facilities to attract...

My 2nd time here, the first 1 time was back in 2021. Cottage #11 was perfect for a solo trip for my 49th Birthday. The place was run down but a place right on the beach was something I wanted to do with my dog (Brewzer) with cancer. With Brewzer's passing (12-10-22) I decided to ADOPT a rescue dog from BARCS (Baltimore) who was almost close to death on 1/17/2023. Not knowing what I was getting myself into, I decided on a 51'st Birthday trip back to Camp MD. In February 2023 I paid my deposit of $450 for my June 7th 2023 arrival. Arrival day came @ 5:30 pm, had to, waite at the gate until someone approached me on a mod-ped buggy. Arrived in cottage #1 after paying the remaining balance of $605. Car unpacked and settled in; I noticed roaches throughout the cottage. Understanding that this is on the beach and on a campground; I disposed of the 3 roaches and thought that would be it. Well, think again, after waking up on my Birthday (June 8th 2023) I found two roaches on my bed and one walking on the floor. SMH and spending a non-refundable $1.1K on my VACATION, I scrubbed the entire cottage from the floors to the nasty sticky kitchen cabinets with my disincentive wipes. No Joke, that didn't solve the problem. Woke up on June 9th, my dog was chasing them as well as myself. What a vacation!!!!!!! ||Today (June 10th 2023), just blow my mind. Waking up to a roach on my face, I called it DONE!!!!! My Vacation @ My Birthday (51st) was ruined. I left with 3 days left on my VACTION.||Oh... BTW DOG...

Been coming to this place for years, and its always been worth it every time. The crowd and atmosphere has definitely improved and become more family friendly.

In previous years it was a much more care free and wild crowd, although I never had a problem with it. It definitely shows the people and staff here really care about making everyone's stay as comfortable as possible.

Handling my reservation with the folks here over the phone was pleasantly stress free. In fact I had to update and change my reservation to a smaller cottage, and it was absolutely painless. The staff handling reservations were very accommodating and a joy to work with.

I've had the pleasure of staying in 5 of the cottages they offer here (Cottages 12, 3, 9, 10, and 1) and I can say that the consistency and cleanliness within the cottages every time I've checked in is great. You're not going to find any fancy decor like some modern contemporary style themes, you can book a room at the Hilton for that.

What you're going to find in all the cottages is very roomy accommodations that are welcoming and will allow friends and family to enjoy themselves just as much indoors as they will outdoors. No bells and whistles.

Just comfy lazyboys, TV's with your pick of plenty of movie channels, and dining rooms and bedrooms with enough seating and sleeping space for everyone.

One thing I will say to anyone who comes to visit here, load up on bug spray and hydrocortisone because the mosquitos here are no joke. They will...

Overall, it was horrible. I was hoping for a nice family vacation and a bit of peace. But as soon as we arrived I was completely shocked to see what I had paid for. We had supposedly paid for everything in advance, but when we arrived at the front, they wanted another 100 and didn't specify what the fee was for. The smell inside the cottage was unpleasant, a moldy odor. As soon as my girls walked in, they got some sort of allergy reaction. We were charged with a cleaning fee, and it DID NOT look clean to me. I stayed the night because we couldn't just drive back 7 hours in pitch black, and I was hoping to give the place a chance. The next morning, my girls got worse with the reactions, and I went outside to look around. It didn't look safe for my kids and my family to stay for the rest of the expected stay. There were beer bottles laying around and cigarette buds all over. In my opinion, this is not a family oriented place to go for vacation and more like an adult environment. We left right that minute and didn't receive a penny back. They told my brother they would call him after 3 days to talk about what happened. When they did call him, they asked to send them pictures, but they refused to refund part of the payment. Although you can't take away from nature. The beach is nice. But I don't recommend this place at all for the people who have kids.

I don't know where to start, it was like we stayed in a dump. This place has so much potential, but by staying in the cottage you can see that the owner doesn't care. My family and I are literally traumatized by the word "cottage" now. Everything was so dirty and had a distinct foul odor. That place was probably the cleanest while we were there because we sprayed Lysol everywhere and wiped down the counters and tables and swept the floor MULTIPLE times during our stay. The bathroom was gross and the toilet seat wasn't secured on the toilet properly. We were even scared to brush our teeth with the sink water. The bedroom door was broken (see pictures). The back door leading out to the beach didn't fully close, which was probably how so many bugs got in (see picture). The flooring around the main doors were also messed up. The refrigerator had brown spots all over. The only thing this place has going for it is the location-being right on the beach, and being able to see both the sunrise and sunset. They didn't have any Covid precautions for their staff or guests, our family was the only ones that wore masks. We would never come back here unless they redo the cottages and actually maintained the place.
