Drove from Texas to South Mississippi then up to lovely tiny town of St. Paul Nebraska. Enjoyed the locals. However, The showers at this motel were extremely nasty. I had to scrub it down myself for hours to get filth off although I showed and advised owners of the issue. Purchased my own cleaning supplies to complete the task as well. Horrible customer service as male & female owners left my room without offering any cleaning service or other resolution. Had to argue extensively for some sort of compensation after we paid for a 4 night stay. I did not want to drive back & forth every day to visit family after driving so far so I just cleaned it. The reimbursement was only $40 in the end. She initially denied the ability to reimburse anything onto card then agreed to try but then she tried to get me to sign a receipt charging me an additional $145 rather than a $40 reimbursement. She provided a different receipt but had denied her ability to provide reimbursement onto card again prior to doing so. It became an argument. She lied numerous times about the time she had ownership of business & made several excuses in regards to cleanliness of motel rather than just clean it. I’ll never stay at this motel again due to the lack of cleanliness, repeated dishonesty, & attitude from owners. Next time I’ll prepare myself for an every day drive back & forth from the neighboring town to visit my family. I do not recommend this place. Beyond nasty. My mom took pics as I was cleaning it & I posted some of...
Read moreWe were there for a two night stay for a wedding. Getting towels on day two was like pulling teeth. I had to get pretty snarky to get them. They kept saying towels were in the dryer... For over two hours? Yet there were stacks of them behind the desk. Ridiculous. No housekeeping, no offer to make beds, etc.||||At 1015 am I requested a late checkout. The guy said "forty five minutes.". I said OK, thinking he was giving me 45 extra minutes but oh no. Jerk is knocking on my door just after 11am telling me to get out. I told him I'd misunderstood, that I thought he'd agreed to 45 extra minutes. I said whatever, OK, I'm moving as quick as I can. He was barefoot and that was disgusting, BTW. 😃||||Now I see my bill and they charged me an extra eight bucks for a minor child in the room. I do not recall seeing in the booking info anything about that fee. I'll be checking into that.||||I would never, ever stay there again. Check out the Bel Aire just down the road a couple miles. ||||Oh and breakfast? Yeah.. no. If you like raisin bran or corn flakes, you're good to go. ||||On the positive side, our room was clean, but the towel stingy crap was nonsense and freaking out on me to get out when hardly anyone was staying there was...
Read moreIt was getting late; we had intended to stay at the motel just outside of town coming in off the interstate; however, it appeared to be closed.||We finally checked in at the St. Paul Motel; the host and hostess were certainly friendly and helpful and understood how tired we were. :)||We walked into a room that was warm, that is always nice when it is chilly outdoors. Surprisingly the room was far cleaner than we expected...this is not a criticism, it is a statement and that is all it is...for whatever reason it is, motels owned/operated by Eastern Indians/Pakistani, etc., have a peculiar smell to them when you walk in as did the lobby..offensive to some, not so with others...rooms are too often not what our "clean" means in the USA...this one was far different..amazingly, we were so pleased and, well, just pleased beyond our wildest expectation! We send out thanks to the proprietor and his wife, (she is very cute), he handsome..definitely would tell others not to stay at the Congo at the north end of town! ||I think pets are allowed; however, it seems the deposit and nightly fee were high. Breakfast was typical...
