It's a great area but no Internet and no TV is driving us crazy, especially when it rains. Hopefully when we move Wednesday we will have both. Today is July 6, 2018. We moved to long term June 27, 2018. Internet is nonexistent. We were moved all the way to the back, when we thought we would instead, be moved closer to everything. So much for thinking it would be better, when we moved to long term. We have to stay until we find another home to buy. It's pretty dangerous. Half of the spaces are concrete. Both of ours have NOT been concrete. On June 29, 2018, I came out of our RV, stepped on the gravel, my foot slid on the gravel and I hit full force on my knee on the picnic table's concrete pad. Talk about a bruised knee....It happened so fast and it is so sore and stiff, I will probably end up at the Orthopedic Doctor. I reported it by phone and email and all I got was the run around. In others words, we will not move to a closer spot where internet is accessible, we will not move to where we are closer to what is going on and we will not move to a concrete pad. Go figure. They cater to the overnighters and the weekenders but don't dare cater to the 23 year St. Peters resident, the long term or the older person.....No way will...
Read moreWe really love 370 Lakeside Park and not only because it is ten minutes from the granddaughters. The park is very well kept and the staff is kind and accommodating. There is lake that is perfect for kayaking (no motor boats) and fishing (do not need a license if you are a guest at the park). A 3+ mile walking/biking trail that circles the lake with enough small rises to get the heart rate up a bit. At the end of the lake there is a beautiful (and protected) wetland area perfect for bird watching. The park has a dog park plus there is a lot of paved and grassy space to walk a furry kid. If you have human kids there is a small playground and a sand volleyball court that seems to have more sandcastles than volleyball games. The RV park proper is large. There are three loops of RV spaces two of which have concrete pads. All are very level and most have full hookups. The end spaces in each loop have a direct view of the lake. And, there is a lot of space between RVs with grass BUT there are NO trees. If you are looking for shade, you are out of luck. All in all this is a great park with rates on par with other parks with comparable services. We are traveling with a 39 foot...
Read moreSuch an amazing campground! It is super clean, spacious, well thought out, and very secure! They have people patrolling all the time and throughout the night. The bathrooms and shower house are super clean and centrally located. We stayed for a week but it rained pretty much the whole time lol so we weren’t able to enjoy the lake amenities or the trail really but still totally worth it! Will definitely be back!
They also recycle plastic bottles and aluminum cans on site! Which is huge for us and we love to see! This feature is surprisingly rare but there is nothing worse than a campground that thrives on people enjoying the outdoors but doesn’t do the extra effort to preserve it!
Only complaint is they don’t have much of a ‘store’ for last minute camping essentials like little grill propane tanks or stuff like that but there is tons of stores within 10 minutes so not a deal breaker.
Also, the staff goes above and beyond to be helpful and make sure you have everything you need from the booking to check out every interaction with them was extremely positive! Also, they have someone available 24 hours a day and you can check in anytime which is nice if you’re...
