An Unforgettable Stay at Boiling Springs Campgrounds: A Riverside Haven in Dixon, MO Rating: ★★★★★

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Boiling Springs Campgrounds in Dixon, MO for a week-long getaway, and I cannot express enough how delighted I was with my experience. From the moment we arrived until the day of departure, every aspect of my stay surpassed my expectations, leaving me with cherished memories and a longing to return.

Here's why Boiling Springs Campgrounds is an absolute gem:

Prime Location: The campground's full hookup sites right on the river provided an idyllic setting for our stay. The soothing sounds of the flowing water combined with the breathtaking views made for an unbeatable backdrop. Additionally, the proximity to the swimming area meant that we could easily take a refreshing dip or go fishing whenever we desired.

Abundant Activities: BSC Outdoors truly knows how to cater to outdoor enthusiasts. With a wide range of floating options and various trip lengths available, there was an adventure suited for everyone. The well-maintained facilities ensured a safe and enjoyable experience, leaving me with nothing but pure excitement and fun-filled memories.

Impeccable Maintenance: Boiling Springs Campgrounds prides itself on its meticulous upkeep, and it shows. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, creating a serene atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident throughout our stay, making us feel like valued guests.

Family-Friendly Amenities: Whether you're traveling with children or just young at heart, Boiling Springs Campgrounds has something for everyone. The on-site playground provided endless entertainment for the little ones. Families can also opt for comfortable cabins or choose from tent sites, partial hookups, or full hookups, ensuring that every visitor's needs are met.

Flexibility and Convenience: Boiling Springs Campgrounds offers a range of site options, including drive-through and back-in sites. This flexibility made the arrival and departure process a breeze. The convenience of partial and full hookups ensured a comfortable stay, allowing us to focus on enjoying our time together as a family vs keeping track of when the black or grey tanks were full etc.

In conclusion, our stay at Boiling Springs Campgrounds was an absolute delight. From the serene riverside location to the abundance of activities, this campground has something for everyone. The well-maintained facilities, beautifully landscaped grounds, and family-friendly amenities make it an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and outdoor adventures. I cannot recommend Boiling Springs Campgrounds enough, and I eagerly anticipate our next visit to this exceptional haven in Dixon, MO.

Thank you to everyone at BSC Outdoors for making our family getaway a safe and memorable one! We can't wait...

First off this was recommended to us buy a shop near the Uranus fudge factory, unfortunately when we went there they didn't have the electricity working for the RV hookups because they had had a flood the month before. It's actually a boy scout campground and we were the first of the season so they were still opening up., the owner who was an older gentleman was very nice, the lady who ran the desk was also very easy to get along with. And overall the overnight experience was really good for basic primitive camping. I'm sure in a month or so when everything is back up and running good I would gladly give this place five stars, however the one small concession I had was the shower smelled like the water was coming from well water up at the main office which was probably because of the flooding before. But the bathroom was run down and was not real well maintained, one other thing I would recommend if you stay down by the river make sure to bring citronella and bug spray, we forgot and dealt with bugs half a night, but this is to be expected with anything next to water. One final thing I would recommend being aware of is after all the flooding there was a lot of sand on the campground, however I talked to the owner andb it was something he was working on before this season officially opens. I know my review sounds like there's a lot of issues going on right now but I honestly believe the owner and the staff worked very hard to try to make our experience better, and yes I would recommend this for RV, primitive campers, and boat enthusiasts alike if you're passing through the area I need a place to stay, they have float rentals but I felt was a little high for my budget on this weekendb road trip. Only 15 minutes off the highway and it was very secluded in private and if I need a night to cry somewhere in that area I'll be...

We booked with Angie’s River Safari in Devils elbow- we won’t make that mistake again!! That crazy woman plucked us down in flood waters that were not safe with no instructions on when or where to exit- we were just told by her daughter to be “on the river for five hours then get out.”

We ended up on a 7.5 mile river float and landed at BSC. They were kind enough to help us get out of the river, track down Angie- who refused to come get us (but would grab her raft the next day!)

The BSC folks shuttled us back to devils elbow River Safari to get our vehicles- we had no cash to give them because Angie added last minute charges on top of what we had already paid for ahead of time, and we used all our cash to pay her that morning. 🤯🙄🫣

Fortunately, Larry and his wife were so kind to us and were sending them a thank you gift, though they didn’t expect anything and were just nice humans -not out to make a buck!!! Their patience and help for us was such a gift. They did not need to do anything for us and we were not their customers. But we’re sending everyone we know their way now, and they’ve gained customers for life!

Their whole team went out of their way to help us and we are so grateful! We’ll go back next year and only use them!! They saved our trip from being ruined and are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable outfitters. Everyone should use BSC!! They are the best!!! We’ll be back to see you soon! Thanks...
