Baetje Farms — Hotel in Sainte Genevieve

We attended the murder mystery dinner at the farm. The food, atmosphere and staff were fantastic. The drinks from the bar were not included in the ticket but were fairly priced and tasty. Everything from the farm’s doing was fantastic.

We went there specifically for the murder mystery which fell short. There were two actors and they did include audience members. We could not understand 95% of what was being said. They had microphones which did not fair well with the acoustics in the space. The gentleman was constantly yelling into the mic which made it worse. The young lady was a bit easier to understand at times. Everyone was scrambling at the end of the night to figure out “whodunnit”. We had no clue what was going on or what the character names were due to the acoustics.

One recommendation would also be to put pricing for cocktails and the cheeses. Everyone was interested in purchasing cheese 🧀 at the end of the evening but even staff members were giving different pricing. Very confusing and could have been an easier process.

Highly recommend the farm and going for lunch or dinner but DO NOT DO the Murder Mystery...

The Artisan is stunning!! A beautiful venue with a lot to offer. The manager on the day of the wedding, went out of her way to help us feel comfortable and calm, and reassured us that everything will go smoothly. And it did!! Crystal even jumped in and helped take care of hair and makeup situations that were not going the way we hoped. She was amazing and helpful in every way, and made the bridal party and parents feel at home. The planning process with Payal, could not have went any better. Payal, was amazing and wonderful. Always smiling and treated us with so much kindness and respect, that we always looked forward to meeting with her and asking more questions. Payal ran the rehearsal for us and did another amazing job. She did everything she could, to help my daughter have the wedding she wanted. It was a really wonderful experience. My daughter wanted a beautiful wedding that somehow included her love of goats, and this was the perfect spot for her. She had her dream wedding. Thank you...

I’ve honestly never left a bad review ever. And I feel guilty leaving this one. Over all I am happy because the day of wedding, food and service was amazing. Everyone was super pleasant and the energy was great. But the journey up to the day, not so much. I felt like I wasnt being prioritized or taken seriously. I felt many of my questions were not answered or several days of waiting for answers. I felt a lot of services were not extended to me and they lost a lot of money because I was pretty set on the venue doing my desserts but because of the lack of communication and disregard I had no choice but to commission different vendors. I had many example of my experience through emails and text, but I don’t want to waste my time on uploading photos.
