We have stayed here several times. When the owners are onsite our experience has been good. Our stay in May was ok. Due to a death in the family, we had to return to the area. When we checked in, the woman who was the “manager”, had a different rate than our printed confirmation. She said she would have to call the owner. We said fine. We showed her a copy of our confirmation. Not sure if she contacted the owners or not. The next morning, she asked to run our credit card again as she must have written the numbers down wrong. I mentioned to her that the smoke detector in our room was gone.( the wires were in the ceiling) No cover, not working. Her excuse was, people steal everything around here. It’s on order. However there was a missing one in a relatives room. So. Were they all stolen? I think not having a smoke detector is a code violation. When we went into the breakfast area, there were 6 people already there and an empty coffee pot. The manager did appear and made another pot. When it was empty, I went to the desk and rang the bell several times. No response. So I then went to the kitchen area, stuck my head through the bifold doors and called out several times. So I went ahead and made the coffee. I did not mind doing this. When she finally appeared, I told her that I tried to find her and Zi made a pot of coffee. Her response was, I was doing laundry. How much coffee did you put in there. I replied 4 scoops. She replied that is too much. It will be too strong. I replied, just add more water after I get a cup. No reply..Also, very disgusting, she was barefoot. Which is another code violation. The final problem was when we checked out and my husband wanted a printed receipt. She couldn’t print one because she was running a program. Now who would be running a program in the morning when people are checking out. Oh and our room was cleaned but our relatives was not. They dont clean their rooms properly the last 3 Ive been in Ive had to clean the blinds and on top of the bedboards, because they were so filthy they gave me a migraine,( i let it go before but Enough already!!) they had 1/2 a set of towels (2x )in the bathroom(s), we had to have the tv hooked, up the lady running the place (who did Not honor a quote we got earlier on the phone and also she over double it after she had us move in cuz her " system was down" , even though she knew we had to clean the room ) said well i dont know anything about these tvs, i turned the tv around it was Covered in dust omg, she says oh its not plugged in. Also when I was so angry about the price increase and was going to leave she then pulls a story out about how r mother also just died and she started crying for my husband Not for me she says ok bye when i told her i was out. He falls for her act and we stayed but we Wont be back that is for sure. I dont appreciate that kind of tactic she should have comprimised with me instead of pulling that crap and even if her mother did die why is it professional for her to bring it up to him and start crying because we want to leave because we are not happy with their service? Read moreI booked a room there for July 3rd through 6th I called them on Monday which would have been June the 30th and canceled the reservation I ask for confirmation code for the cancelation. The girl I spoke with said she would email me with the cancelation and code but never did so with me working in the hotel business I knew that she never canceled the reservation so I shut off my card so it could not be charged just incase . On the 4th of July I woke up that morning to a email saying my card declined a charge of 225.00 from this hotel so now I know the reservation was not canceled like it was suppose to be not only that but this hotel tried to charge my card more money then it was originally suppose to charge me for the whole stay . SO BEWARE OF THIS BECAUSE OF THIS EMPLOYER NOT DOING HER JOB MORE THEN LIKELY YOU WOULD HAVE NOT GOT YOUR MONEY BACK.MY ADVICE WOULD BE IF YOUR GOING TO BOOK AT THIS HOTEL BOOK ON A CARD THAT YOU CAN TURN ON AND OFF ON YOUR APP SO YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED WHEN YOU CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION.
