Let me start out by saying, this campground was nice. The cabin was clean, the grounds were maintained, etc. I would have definitely recommended to stay or even stay again myself. Especially because it was so close to home. But I will not be returning due to the situation that had happened. And if cleanliness and safety is a priority for you and/or your children, I would recommend to visit another campground. ||My husband, 2 month old and myself stayed at KOA Salem/Lisbon in KL2. At Check-in Barb (the owner) was not wearing a mask and no worker was. Including the people making food that they offered. I also noticed that the other campers that were here walking in and out of the shop didnât have masks on, nor were they enforced to wear a mask. The cabin was nice and clean but soon after Check-in we realized the bed frame was cracked and wobbling. I went up to the shop to inform Barb (the owner) about the issue. She told me someone would be out to look at it. Two workers came very quickly but were not wearing any masks. They came into the cabin and said that weâd need a new bed frame and theyâll get someone on it. About 2 hours went by so I went back up to the shop to ask about the bed. Barb called someone to make sure they âdidnât need help getting it done.â Barb said âI thought youâd just go to the pool.â (Clearly to her and the staff, the new bed frame was not a priority.) I told her no because all of our belongings were in the cabin. I also then asked her why her and non of the staff was wearing face masks. She told me they didnât need to because her and the workers have been around each other. I asked what about me? Iâm standing inside here. She told me the workers making food didnât need to because they were in the back. And that she didnât need to because there was a plexi glass in between us. I said well what about the cashiers at Walmart? They all have plexi glass between us but are still required to wear masks. She then proceeded to put her mask on. I said the two people that came into our cabin to look at the bed frame were not wearing masks, what about them? I have a 2 month old inside. She told me about some ozone cleaner they do before each person comes in. But that doesnât matter considering the workers came in after the ozone cleaner was done. She told someone over the radio âI requested they wear masks.â Not that itâs a law or anything. Needless to say, I never got a true response or apology as to why this KOA was not following Ohio mandates. Which is especially ironic considering on their site they have an alert stating they follow all suggested and mandatory federal and state safety requirements.||We have stayed in 2 other locations of KOA in May before I had my son. Both other locations wore masks and enforced other campers to wear masks inside of the shops. The workers of other KOA locations even wore masks driving around in the golf carts when no one was around them. Note that this was before it was a mandated law for EVERYONE to wear masks. ||When I got back to the cabin 3 workers (2 other workers who had not already been in the cabin) were putting a new frame in. NOT WEARING MASKS. They then left and came back wearing masks to put the frame together. The one worker said âI understand your worried about your baby.â Of course Iâm worried about my baby. But also that itâs a mandate and Iâm worried about MY health, etc. I know people reading this will say, why even stay somewhere if youâre worried about it? Well yes I guess I understand as well BUT I just had my first child and am trying to enjoy the time I have with him and my husband. I have been home since March. Also pointing out COVID-19 isnât seeming to go anywhere anytime soon. Things opened back up with safety measures so people could go out safely. You can do things but we all still need to wear our masks and maintain distancing. ||Barb did come knocking on our door later that evening. (She was wearing a mask at that point.) My husband ended up answering. She just asked if everything was okay. He just said yes. The next day I had to go inside the shop again because we needed a fire starter and guess what? No workers were wearing masks. Barb at the end of the day drove by on her golf cart, asking if everything was good. I did not try to explain myself or how I was feeling to her again. The next day we checked out and the other owner (John) and other workers were inside, no masks on. Itâs extremely clear this KOA does not follow the mandates of masks so who knows what else they would or wouldnât be doing for our safety. My health and safety along with any other campers is not a priority, just like getting a good, stable...

Read moreOwners and staff are very helpful even when problems arise that has nothing to do with the campground at all. Winter was and is brutal, been here a couple months and our water froze multiple times but that had nothing to do w koa, it was our pipes freezing and hot water heater had to be fixed. We had to insulate around our camper and the owner took our water heater paperwork to another tenant and sent someone to help us out and again it wasn't KOA fault or job. These people are very kind, help or advise on things or give referral for anything you may need fixed or even how to make things easier on us. Water easy fix, husband bought propane heater and imediately unfroze our pipes. For us it was trial and error and koa helped all along the way and didn't have to at all. Very quiet here. Wonderful koa people. Only had issues because of the brutal winter and negative temperatures constantly. Other than hating the weather, this is a koa who goes above and beyond and always willing to help. Wish I had been here in the summer bc they have a huge, deep pool and also all connected but a smaller pool area for the little kiddos. Playground looks nice...laundry facility and shower rooms are nice, clean and plenty of Hot water for a long shower...dogs are allowed. They keep property clean and management doesn't complain, however if you smoke like us, be courteous to pick up cig butts and get a bucket w sand to throw them in and no trash laying around. All conveniently located to office, shower, laundry, playground and pool, dumpster, propane refills , and they even have a little store inside the office you can purchase like pizza, snacks, accessories for RV, shampoo, conditioner etc. Little things that save trips to the store. Propane extremely cheap or option to connect to their site propane and just pay amount used. Free cable and water...wifi pretty good, you pay your own electric but very cheap and basically pays itself with free cable, wifi and water at no charge. Everything constantly in renovation mode just to be more appealing and obviously they take pride in what they do. Price here is beyond reasonable. I'd advise staying here long term. No issues, no drama, no loud people and management/owners are always helpful! Thank you Ms.Barb, Ms Judy, and cole for all your help and kindness! God speed in recovery Ms...
