We signed in for a month in March of 2019 after reading reviews. We have been here a week+ and agree with only some of the reviews. On arrival our greeting was rather ho hum but courteous and efficient but prior to arrival I had called and we sort of agreed M row would be good for us. We agree now that M row was a good choice and used for a lot of the "transients" so we fit in well. We consider this park to be of good value on a monthly basis at about $20/day±. Anything over a week and a half consider the monthly rate and adjust your schedule.||||The entry to the park is easy with wide roads and the access to the sites is good with sweeping turns for our 55' length (with toad). We were escorted by golf cart and he helped to position us just perfect: Thanks for that.||||We would return to this RV park as there is a big mall type complex about 5 miles away, downtown is 12 miles and ingress/egress is excellent and just off I-37. The Shell and Valero at the exit both have diesel pumps that are easy to get into and out of so we filled up on arrival. Here are some comments:||As several reviewers have mention, the sites are tight when slides are deployed (about 7' between slides). ||While we can sometimes hear the road noise it is not objectionable not loud most of the time.||There is industry nearby but it is not objectionable to us at all.|| Trains do run close to the property and use their horns about 3 or 4 times per day and some of this is at night. It can be loud and woke us up the first couple of nights but now it does not.||* Laundry facilities are washers/dryers are like new and work well. Rooms can be "warm".||* Power is good at about 118 - 120 VAC.||* Water pressure is high at about 70 PSI so use a regulator. We have a water softner so we cannot comment on hardness.||* We think think the way they place RV's along M row is crazy. Empty spaces at the south end and packed like sardines - RV to RV to RV- on the north end. This is our biggest complaint.||** People seem friendly enough and there are a lot of "longer term" residents that work so they leave from 5:30 to 7 AM. Most are quiet and for the largest part we cannot complain about their courtesy. Not many, if any, human children are present but there are a lot of doggie children that do not...
Read moreLet me begin by saying we full time and had been staying on and off at this park as our home base since 2014. I’m sorry to say the prior Manager (deceased) would be rolling over in his grave if he saw what has become of the park he worked so hard to clean up, maintain and call a resort. I’m sorry to say this park has become an overgrown, cluttered and poorly managed park that should lose the name resort. In our travels around the country we have only felt uncomfortable in only one other RV park until our stay here at Braunig Lake RV Resort. We checked in on a Saturday for a 45 day stay and lasted less than 4 days. I am glad I did not prepay as the website wanted me to for the whole stay or I would have been out more than $1400. Our site was overgrown with weeds, clover and stickers as are most of the sites in the park. Our first evening we walked around and talked with several other guests. As I chatted with several guests, we were advised to make sure to lock anything left outside, there is no type of visible security here, Security lights are pretty much nonexistent and vehicles drive fast through the park, especially in the back on the hillside of the park. The rest rooms have been closed due to vandalism. Even though there is a small guard shack as you enter the park, do not be fooled as this is not used as a security gate. The park is easily accessed with no limit on who might come and go. And there seems to be a lot of come and go traffic after midnight! There is more come and go traffic over night that you would have to be blind not to know what might be going on. People pull up to a site, someone comes out, then the vehicle leaves. If you have several vehicles, trailers, equipment and want to store a house outside then this park is for you. It's really a shame what has become of this RV park as it used to be well maintained, had enough staff for the office, performed maintenance and all the ground keeping. I would NEVER recommend Braunig RV Resort to anyone. We are hopeful the out-of-state owners and manager will once again bring this park back to what it can be, remove those who are the problem and rejuvenate this park...
