This place was an absolute dream, and I'm so lucky we found it. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on Friday Harbor. Nancy and her team were so accommodating from start to finish: lovely little welcome packets and beautiful breakfasts on a patio overlooking the lake and surrounded by trees. We went in March, and it was beautiful. I can't imagine what it will be like in the summer or fall. The room was so cozy, and the hot tub was a very exciting extra! The place itself was so clean and decorated to a tee. The location was great - we wanted to stay outside the town center. It had parking for our car, which was very nice. Plus, they're animal friendly. As dog lovers, we were so happy to meet their pups and other guests' dogs. They also have a very friendly cat who visited with us outside. Overall, 20/10. I'd recommend Inn to the Woods to anyone! The perfect spot for a getaway.

On the positive side, it’s a very personable BnB with custom name tags at breakfast and the owner seems very sweet. The inside common area has charm to it. However, the property felt cluttered with knick-knacks and worn down, with an overall low standard and a musty smell. Cleanliness was also an issue, things felt dusty (I wanted to utilize the tea bar but the cups were lined with a thin layer of grime) and the floor carpet was dirty. For the price ($400/night), I expected a much higher level of standard. The proprietor (the son) was also wearing an Alex Jones t-shirt (yes, the right wing conspiracy nut) which added to the creepiness. Overall, this didn’t live up to my expectations.

This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast because most do not allow dogs. |Great:|Pet friendly!|Quiet|Close to the town, Friday Harbor if you want shopping, lunch, dinner, ice cream etc. |Amazing breakfast on the deck every morning. We loved the heating pads on the chairs! |Hot tub on your personal deck. |Great views of the forest and water.|Nice jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. |Good shower and the fan worked really well. |You can open your room windows and allow cool air in at night! |Very friendly, helpful staff. |Coffee in your room. |Let them know if you are celebrating anything. The brownies and sparkling cider were really good. |King size bed with soft, comfortable sheets! |Air purifier, wall heater | |Suggestions:|-One of the bathroom windows in our room needed a shade, blinds or curtains. The only thing covering the window was a white doily crochet thing and some kind of stickers on the window. I ended up using some extra towels to provide us some privacy. We could see our neighbors and their hot tub above our room. |-There is A LOT of extra stuff (nicknacks everywhere, 12+ pillows on the bed, art work on the walls, large extra furniture etc.). In order to fit our stuff (suitcases, dog stuff, our toiletries etc.) we put a lot of stuff in the closet and below the sinks in the bathroom. We were really overwhelmed with seeing that much extra stuff in our room. It made the room...

This was our first time at a B&B. The location is just outside of town and the island is small so it's easy to get anywhere from this B&B. Our room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. Very private location which is also very quiet. The food prepared was excellent and appreciated their attention to our food preferences and restrictions. Nancy was great when making reservations and keeping notes about the details of our stay and requirements. The driveway was a little challenging to navigate - fortunately I have a little car and was able to get through the trees and park. If we had had my husband's larger truck - unsure if we would have been able to navigate the drive way. The outside of the grounds did seem to have a lot of stuff laying around - unsure of the relationship between the B&B and the front house. We stayed in another B&B later in our trip and while I can't put my finger on it - we enjoyed our stay at the 2nd B&B better. We were here in April and what I didn't know is that if you are there during the week, many businesses are closed on the island. Businesses being closed wasn't the fault of the B&B. We managed to have a great time on the island anyway and hope to come back in the future. Overall, excellent food, our room was great and the location was quiet and...
