Camp San Luis Obispo Chapel — Hotel in San Luis Obispo

Me and my family have been coming to the rv park on base for more than 40 years unfortunately a “camp” host was hired the camp ground was never perfect but everyone treated everyone with respect and dignity now there is a whole list of rules and regulations of which I wouldn’t care if it was any public event park but what made it so special was the fact it didn’t need rules and regulations beyond basic now kids can’t ride their bikes around unless accompanied by an adult and when we pulled in a hour or two earlier than the check in mandated unlike usual we were not allowed to pulled in to our reserved spot the gal at the front office was rude and not at all pleasant and the camp host seems to think he owns the place cutting through camp sites and what appears to be rummaging around fire pits looking...

Just visited over Labor Day weekend, awesome little gem available for military folks. Temperature checks at the main gate prior to entrance, the RV park is easy to find, stay to the "right side" of the base after you enter; billeting office is to the "left side" of main gate. Everything is pretty lit on the base, sensors brighten up area lights as you drive by and buildings such as the laundromat are open 24/7 (washers are 1.50 & dryers 50 cents for 40 minutes; one big washer and dryer for blankets is available). Seems a coffee shop is in place as well as an AAFES post but either these are closed due to COVID or the holiday. There is a potable water refill station by the AAFES store, bring your own coins or small...

Courteous and professional staff! Greatly enjoyed my stay at the RV park, slightly West of the NCO Club. Karen and her staff in the Billeting Office and Bill the Campsite Host were very accomodating. Full amenities, with power, water, and septic hookups, a couple nearby clean bathrooms/showers, and the coin-operated laundry/automated 24/7 convenience store, (814) as well as the PX (806) are a half mile away.

That being said, 'Sheriff Bill' runs a tight ship!

Will definitely stay again.
