We booked the Beaver Lake Cabin for a weekend away for my wife’s birthday hoping (as you do) that the log cabin by the lake we booked would at least be half as good as we expected. From the website, we saw that the cabin had a full Kitchen, a Jetta two-person whirlpool as well as a stand-up Shower. My wife was excited to see that it also advertised a pillow-top King Bed. There was also a Chiminea, with firewood included, a private lakeside Patio with table and chairs, and a private jetty to fish from. All in all, it looked promising, and we hoped it would meet even half our expectations.||||Boy were we wrong – it absolutely exceeded them in every single way!!||!||Before we even arrived, the hosts reached out to welcome us and let us know how to get into the cabin, and to offer anything extra we wanted – we just needed to ask. We arrived at 7pm, having driven for 4 hours, and then realized that we were an hour past the deadline to let them know we wanted breakfast. I called the hosts number just on the off chance, and they totally made us feel welcome and that it was not a problem that we had asked for them to arrange breakfast for the next day 1 hr. after the deadline.||||We got out the car and walked around the corner of the cabin to be greeted by the wonder of our private patio literally right on the edge of the lake. After oohing and ahhing at the phenomenal view and standing on our private jetty looking down into the water and spotting the fish, we walked up to the door of the cabin and opened it.||||Entering the cabin, we were immediately refreshed by the wonderfully cool AC (it was 93 outside). The bed was set against the wall in such a way that when you lie on it with the front door open (totally private still, as the cabin is set well away from the other 2 cabins on site, with the door on the opposite side to them), you can enjoy the remarkable lake view. An absolute treat, but it lets the AC out and the hot air in!||||On the pillow was a handmade card wishing my wife happy birthday (the hostess was clearly listening to me when I booked the cabin) and wishing us a pleasant stay. Also next to the bed was a welcome basket with snacks, and the ingredients for some Smores, which you can make over the fire in the Chimnea.||||After this, we headed straight to the bathroom to check out the whirlpool. It was exactly what we had hoped, and over the course of the weekend, we spent a LOT of time relaxing and reading in it, bubbles soothing on the skin, and providing a pleasant background burble of white noise, which enhances the sense of privacy and intimacy.||||Exploring further, we found a coffee table book about the history of Tulsa, and a folder with all the local attractions listed and recommendations of where to eat – very useful for us out-of-towners!||||I’ll end this wall of text saying the drive / walks around the lake are beautiful, every single person we met was extremely warm and helpful, breakfast arrived at the time it was promised (although because of Covid, we didn’t have the opportunity to dine in the dining hall).||||We highly recommend Meadow Lake Ranch as a wonderful, private, and romantic place to stay if you are looking for a comfortable cabin with spectacular views in a peaceful, tranquil setting, with thoughtful, warm and...

I’ll end this review saying the drive / walks around the lake are beautiful, every single person we met was extremely warm and helpful, breakfast arrived at the time it was promised (although because of Covid, we didn’t have the opportunity to dine in the dining hall).

Read more4 & 1/2 stars. All that water, and not a single mosquito during a 3 day stay in June! Friendly owner and staff. Mostly good, fresh made breakfasts. Okay fishing. You can explore the grounds where you can find chickens and pheasant, cows, ducks, goats, a friendly miniature donkey, and some great views along the way! They have well made teepees with air mattresses for a more "roughing it" experience should you choose. The cabins are nice, very well kept and clean with comfortable bed and clean sheets; clean kitchen with full sized refrigerator and stove, dining table and 4 chairs, microwave, coffee maker with coffee and cups, single well sink, and selection of utensils; living area with hide-a-bed sofa, chest of drawers, TV & vcr/DVD player, electric fireplace, and window A/C; clean, well stocked bathroom (shower soap and shampoo, handsoap, t/p, clean towels and washclothes) with toilet, shower stall, tub, and sink; patio features table and chairs, extra seating, chimineya and firewood (you know, for the smores!) Only problem with the cabin was the water temperature like another reviewer...in the shower it was either scalding hot or cold. All on a private ranch with security gate. There's more of course, just check them out for yourself! Honestly, over all our stay here was better than any hotel we've...
