Wonder Valley proved to be an outstanding destination for our recent Herndon Barstow school outing with students from 6th grader . Set in a scenic location, Wonder Valley offered a wide range of outdoor activities that were both exciting and educational, making it an ideal spot for kids to explore, learn, and From the moment we arrived, the kids were thrilled to try out the various activities. Highlights included zip-lining, a ropes course, and canoeing, with each activity challenging the students physically and mentally. The kids especially enjoyed the team-building exercises, which encouraged them to communicate, work together, and support each other. There was something suitable for everyone, regardless of their comfort level with outdoor activities, and it was clear that the students were engaged and thoroughly enjoying themselves.Wonder Valley’s facilities were well-maintained, food was delicious we stayed there two nights 3 days restrooms were clean . It was clear that safety was a top priority. Staff members were not only professional but also incredibly friendly and attentive to each child’s needs. They provided clear instructions and were patient in guiding kids through activities, especially those who were nervous about trying something new. The dining area and restrooms were clean and easily accessible, which helped make the experience more comfortable for everyone. Beyond physical activity, Wonder Valley fostered learning and growth in a natural setting. The kids learned about perseverance, teamwork, and overcoming fears—skills that went beyond the day’s activities. It was refreshing to see the kids gain confidence and cheer each other on, building friendships and discovering new strengths. Overall, Wonder Valley was an excellent choice for our school outing. The combination of fun, adventure, and learning made it a memorable experience for both students and staff. We highly recommend Wonder Valley’s outdoor activities for school groups looking for a safe, supportive, and fun environment where kids can grow, learn, and enjoy the...
Read moreI visited wonder valley ranch for a candlelight dinner and carriage ride package. For the price it was really nice. Check-in was 4pm and was really easy, and the staff was really nice and accommodating. Note that the parking lot is a little bit of a walk from the office, but the views and the stroll was worth it. It was so quiet that all you heard was nature. After getting the keys to our cottage, we were able to drive over to it and unload and then take the car back to the parking lot. The cottage was a small cozy building with shower, toilet, sink, closet, had a desk and fridge. It also had a single serve kurieg with coffee and hot chocolate (which i appreciated). The carriage ride was to start at 6pm and they came and picked us up right out front of the cottage. It was a 35 minute ride around the large property. It was cool, relaxing, the drivers were really nice and gave us quiet time to enjoy the outside. The ride included champagne or Sparkling cider and glasses. At the end of the ride they dropped us off right outside the the dining hall. They did not disappoint on the dinner!! The table was off in the corner right in front of a fireplace that was nice and warm. Dinner was salad, followed by a delicious Balsamic drizzled Steak, rice, steamed vegetables, and chicken alfredo. Dessert was a lemon bar which was good but i was so full by that point. Breakfast was a nice selection of food in the dining hall, tables were all set up for each of the parties. Tables were set apart giving good distance between. They have so much to offer here and it is definitely a wonderful gem to get away...
Read moreHad my daughter's 11 then birthday " girls day" here. She loves horses so she and 3 of her friends did the trail ride, archery , lunch then fishing and boating. They where so excited to do the trail ride, but ended up so disappointed. We paid for an Hour ride and ended up with 25 min ride. And one of the guides had such a horrible attitude. She kept yelling at one of the girls who was a first time rider. The archery was great and the instructor was helpful. Fishing and boating was so much fun for the girls and lunch was nice. The on duty manager Matt was helpful. But It was still so disappointing listening to the girls conversation on our drive home, about how the trail ride was so disappointing and how the instructor made them feel embarrassed and frustrated. My daughter is an experienced rider and would always share her love of riding with her friends and the riding was the reason we chose to book her day here. The manager did say that next time we pay for a trail ride he would make sure we get our full hr and maybe some extra time in the arena but not sure if my daughter and her friend would even want to go back for the trail.ride considering the experience they had. And how do you make up a birthday experience and memories on a different day? We can't...
