A Place of Cherished Memories and Nostalgia
As I reflect on my childhood, Santa Claus United Methodist Church Camp holds a special place in my heart. This camp was more than just a summer retreat; it was a sanctuary of joy, growth, and cherished memories.
From the moment I stepped onto the campgrounds, I was enveloped in a sense of belonging and excitement. The dedicated staff fostered an inclusive and welcoming environment, creating a space where children could freely express themselves and form lifelong friendships.
The camp's program was impeccably designed, striking a perfect balance between fun and personal development. Whether we were engaging in exhilarating outdoor activities, creative arts and crafts, or meaningful discussions, every moment was purposeful and enriching.
The natural surroundings were breathtaking, providing a picturesque backdrop for our adventures. Exploring the scenic trails, swimming in the crystal-clear lake, and roasting marshmallows by the campfire created unforgettable experiences that have stayed with me to this day.
The emphasis on spiritual growth was also a fundamental aspect of the camp. Through engaging Bible studies, uplifting worship services, and thought-provoking discussions, Santa Claus United Methodist Church Camp instilled in me a profound appreciation for faith and community.
Though years have passed since my last visit, the memories I made at this camp continue to warm my heart. I eagerly anticipate the day when I can return and relive those moments, rekindling the magic that Santa Claus United Methodist Church Camp has always held for me.
If you're seeking a place that nurtures personal growth, fosters lasting friendships, and leaves an indelible mark on your soul, I wholeheartedly recommend Santa Claus United Methodist Church Camp. It is a haven of cherished memories and a testament to the transformative power of summer camp...
Read moreHorrible church camp! Wouldn’t allow my daughter go to the bathroom during “horizontal time” (which is where they make your children lay in bed for any hour) or worship and made her hold it for an hour to the point of her fearing she was going to pee her pants and she’s 11. They don’t allow the children to call home at all for this exact reason. They don’t want the kids to tell their parents about what really goes on at camp. All of my kids clothes got wet and mildewed the first day of camp and wouldn’t allow her to wash her clothes, even though washers and dryers are on the camp site and there and plenty of them; stating- “only counselors and junior counselors are allowed to use the washers” even though it was an emergency. They also told me to email them and they would print out the email and give it to my children for letters since that’s the only form of communication allowed between parents and children. I sent four letters four times to my children and not only did they print not them out or give them to my children but they never responded to any of my emails at all, even though this email was given out to parents stating “if you have any questions please email us here”. If anything this camp was all my children needed to make their opinions about the Christian religion and since the entire point of this camp is to convert and baptize children, you failed miserably in some...
