Camp is getting better each year. Facilities are being updated and the staff is engaging and accommodating. The message and format is great, you would be hard pressed to find better. The continuity of the theme to the message presented, along with the events, and group bible study is clearly thought out and well executed.
We had many students make professions of faith and more re-commit. Amazing experience, even better with leaders that engage and want to develop authentic relationships with students.
It’s an adventure camp, so be prepared to play hard, stretch your students physically, and spiritually. Must add that the attention to the students medical care is above par, making large group management easy. The food was really good and leaders, there is a time you can gather as a group to share an amazing meal. There is also a convenient leaders lounge that is available 24-7 for a coffee break, refreshing drink and catch-up or kick back needs.
Don’t miss out on this camp, our students get so excited that they save their own money to go!! 2020 begins new six year program. We are already planning our return!
Glorieta staff, thanks again!!! - Our tribe loves you and may your...
Read moreYour camp is amazing! It was my first time ever going to a summer camp in 2023 and i loved it! I went with my church. A few things though... the bathrooms need a bit of maintenance. The curtains in the shared bathrooms do not provide enough privacy. And the water was pretty cold, it was hard to take showers most of the time I was there. There are also a lot of bugs dead and alive in the bathrooms as well. I don't expect it to be a luxurious bathroom but it would be great if these things could be improved. I would also recommend putting screens on the windows in the girls high school dorms as lots of big bugs were getting in the room when we opened the window when it was hot. My brothers, who was in the middle school and high school boys dorms, said there are no locks on the doors. Which is a little concerning as there were locks on the high school girls dorms. Not sure about middle school girls. After all, my experience at Glorieta Adventure Camp was one I'll never forget! Thank you for making it beautiful. I loved how I got to hear a word everyday and worship the Lord! It was truly a first time experience I'll...
Read moreWe attended their family camp for the first time this year. They do a great job of facilitating family discussions. Each of our 3 kids at different age groups learned about the same topic we did with the adults. After, we'd have family devotions with questions to facilitate the discussion. It was awesome to see what each of our kids took from the discussions they had with their peers. We definitely grew closer as a family this week. Glorietta has all kinds of fun activities to do such as rock climbing, hiking, zip lines, a giant swing, mountain biking, axe throwing, etc, which were great, but the thing that makes this camp amazing is the people. From the paid staff to the jr volunteers, everyone was so helpful, kind, and genuinely caring. The variety of food was so good, and the rooms were great. We had a separate room for our kids with a connecting door to our room. They had a Kid's Tribe class for our 5 yo where he could go when he wasn't able to do certain activities with us (mountain biking for example). He absolutely loved Kids Tribe and was glowing each time we...
