Ten Mile Inn — Hotel in Saratoga

I recently attended a wedding at the Ten Mile Inn. Upon arriving, a guest greeted us outside telling us how the female owner yelled at him for not having his dog on a leash. After checking in, we took food and spirits into the kitchen to cook dinner for the wedding party. The husband, Ken (very nice man), allowed us to bring in our spirits just to cook dinner. When the wife Kimberly (very controlling and rude) came in she said, "I guess you didn't see my sign"! Ken quickly told her he allowed it and she began to berate us and her husband about all the money she is losing in the bar. She hovered over us the entire time we were in there. Later that night I told Kimberly we needed to prep food for the wedding the next day in the kitchen (which good money was spent to have full access). When I told her this she replied, "your kidding me right"?! She said we were not allowed in the lodge after 9 p.m. and the kitchen will open at 7 a.m. She continued to hover like a control freak. Unfortunately, everyone had to pull together at 7 a.m. to cook the food for 50 people in 2 hours. Did i mention their website says they have wife in the rooms and cabins? It's not true and you don't get service up there if you are on Verizon. If you want to build a bonfire there, KImberly has to know who is lighting it and gives you a lecture about how to put the fire out. If you love being watched like a hawk, treated like an infant or verbally belittled, then this place is for you. If you plan on checking in after 9, don't expect them to be open or up. We really enjoyed our experience at the 10 Mile Inn! The beds are short, I'm 5'6" and can touch the baseboard so my 6'2" husband was pretty squished. Also, everything in the main lodge is rustic and not necessarily in a charming way. However, we had a great experience!

Ken, the owner, is amazing. He's always there to help with anything, is flexible, and accommodating (there might be a new owner soon though).

The site is at a great location! It's close enough to Saratoga and Centennial to allow for restaurants, some shopping, or a dip in a hot spring while also providing a great base from which to hike, fish, visit lakes, snowmobile, and hunt. The site also offers cornhole, horseshoe, shuffle board, pool, foosball, a shared kitchen, a beautiful fire pit area, public restrooms, and a bar. Additionally, Ken has ice and food for sale if you need.

Our party utilized each of the sleeping accomodations which includes cabins, camper spots, and a west wing with rooms. Everyone was extremely happy! The rooms are clean and surprisingly spacious in both the cabins and the west wing. The rooms offer heat but no air conditioning. While we were there, the temps got to the low 80s and we stayed comfortable with the overhead fan on.
