We stayed here as a family and loved the beautiful lodge. The serene surroundings are gorgeous and we enjoyed visiting together and watching the sunset. The rooms itself were great and clean. The customer service is the reason for the 3-Star review which honestly given how poor the service was, the 3 stars seems generous. The manager made complaints throughout the time we were there. She complained about the owners saying how much better it was that they’ve moved out now. She stated she preferred to have hunters stay instead of people like us just traveling. She told us, new people staying there, how much easier it was with “regulars.” She complained about how we drank hot chocolate which was readily available despite telling us to make ourselves at home the night before. She stated with complete annoyance to one guest “well I guess you guys made yourselves at home.” She complained when someone did not make coffee the way she had instructed. She complained about peoples portion sizes at breakfast, etc. In front of an entire room of guests, she berated one guest saying “oh wow I guess I’ll have to make more food” as the guest dished food out. These exasperated, annoyed statements continued as guests went through the line dishing out their food. She was even heard complaining about a guest to other guests in the lodge. I’ve never stayed somewhere where the person in charge of hospitality showed such disinterest and even kind of exhaustion in providing hospitality for guests. Also I rarely ever make reviews and hate to make a negative one at all. She was very friendly when we arrived and sometimes people have bad days which is understandable. However it’s hard to get “regulars” when new guests are...

Sip a beverage of your choice around a fire ring or head up to the loft, and take in a view of grazing bison on the rolling hills. Get up close to elk and even feed them if you like.||Breakfast is amazing by any standards, but especially great when considering the new "covid rules". This is the place to get really comfortable and unwind.||Suggestion: If you're gathering with those drinking buddies of yours who get wound up (we all have a few), this isn't that kind of place. Like I said, this lodge is perfect for people looking to unwind.||Another suggestion: The lodge is located on a road that is not paved and the gravel may be fresh from time to time. If you're traveling on motorcycle, call ahead and have your bike securely stored at their place in town and they'll transport you to and from your bike.||Lastly, have Siri take you there. Mapquest and Google may eventually get you there but Siri...
