SureStay by Best Western Thomson — Hotel in Savanna

Overall a very pleasant experience. Clean rooms and building. Breakfast is all carbs and not worth bothering with. 2nd review. We went back less than a year later. This is pretty much the only choice as the hotel in Savannah maybe bigger but has just as pathetic of a breakfast for way more money. This time the breakfast was actually worse. They had put out orange juice and apple juice on Saturday but by Sunday we realize that they had never put anything else out. It was all still the stuff from the day before. For most part the room was fine except the outlet in the lamp on the one side of the bed was not working and neither was the lamp. And the shower floor creaked really bad. I was disappointed considering Best Westerns bame is attached to this. Breakfast was horrible and the gas station had more of a selection than this place. All they had was a waffle maker and some bread and cereal and a couple packaged muffins. The room was ok, it was clean and had these cute makeup towels which i thought was a neat idea. The outside doors didnt lock and anybody could just walk in and honeatly i had whole bates hotel vibe from this place. It has a backwoods bar in it that was loud and could hear the music from my room so i didnt get much sleep. Theres no ice machine, you have to get ice from the bar and the bartender is also the person who checks you into your room. This was a great stay on a hiking weekend to Mississippi Palisades. Nestled off 84 outside of town on its own, it’s very quiet as long as you stay away from the bar I’m assuming (my room was quiet). Room was clean and comfortable.

I ordered a pizza from the bar to take upstairs, which was very good and while waiting had a Long Island iced tea. The drink was cheap, like $6-7 and was HUGE! Probably 20-24 ounces and not watered down, I was fairly buzzed lol. I’d turn into an alcoholic if I lived near here because I’d be drinking here constantly if it’s like this all the time ;)

I’d definitely stay here again if ever...
