This place is unbelievable! I made my reservation and my Son & Daughter-in-law made hers but we both requested adjoining rooms if at all possible. Upon arrival I told the night clerk we would all be checking in, gave him my ID & credit card first and after he gave me the room key he told my Daughter-in-law that her card was declined earlier and she gave a bad phone number so they gave her room away to someone else and they were sold out. She had no missed calls & no voice mail and the clerk said it was a bad number. I dialed the number right.there in front of him proving her phone worked and that it was a valid number. He said that wasn't his problem. I asked why he didn't call me and he said that he didn't have to, ok true enough so then I asked why he didn't say anything before checking me in and he responded that he didn't have to. No other hotels in Savannah had an available room so we wound up driving an hour away to Waynesboro to get rooms there. I absolutely would never stay at this place again if the owner begged me on his hands and knees while offering to pay me. Poor customer service is one thing but this butt head went out of his way to make it terrible. The place was full of contractors which I am certain he charged...
Read moreMany reasons. The room had a very distinct “old and mildew” smell. But the main issue we had was the window. Our window faced a very bright street light. We did not have any blackout curtains. The only curtains we had were completely sheer. So we had a bright light on all night and it also made us very uncomfortable because you could see right into our room 24/7. The breakfast tasted horrible. And I am not a picky eater whatsoever. Everything we had had no flavor and tasted gross, apart from my son’s waffle. Coffee was cold. Not even lukewarm (we had breakfast around 830). There was not one option of fresh fruit even though there are signs all around with “healthy” showcased with fresh fruit. We used the ice machine. The one labeled “use this ice machine first” did not work. So I used the one next to it, thankfully the ice seemed fine. But the machine itself (under and around the base) had mold and gunk built up. There was also fresh paint in that room but no signs or labels warning you of the fresh paint. Supplies were scattered everywhere.
Overall, it was very disappointing and will never book with this...
Read moreTypically we stay at Comfort Inns, but there were none in the area, so I took a chance on this Quality Inn. Boy, we were glad we did! Check-in was great--they even gave us an area map notating places to eat and shop. Upon entering our room my husband noted, "There's no weird stale smoke smell--you know the one, right?" Carpets, linens, and towels were all nice and new looking. The vanity area was well-appointed with a small coffee maker, coffees, and teas. Best of all, the air conditioner worked fantastically. Breakfast the next day was a nice surprise as well with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, oatmeal, fruits, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, etc. I believe on their website that it's listed as a continental breakfast, but it was much more than bagels and sweet rolls (although they did have those as well). The staff was pleasant and helpful, too. Honestly, I can't really think of a single complaint, but my hubby thought the bed a little firm for his liking. Job...
