I have been camping here with my family for four seasons. I have to clear up some allegations recently posted as a review. First, no member of the staff here will EVER yell, scream, or curse in your face. That is just not something that happens here. Secondly, ALL dogs must be on a leash. It doesn’t matter if you are a veteran annual or a weekend camper. If your dog is seen without a leash and roaming freely, you will be asked POLITELY to leash the animal appropriately. They do not discriminate against any type of dog. In fact, I’ve seen pits there. It is always the owners responsibility of the animal. Lastly, yes there is catch and release. However, many campers eat what they catch-that’s the purpose of the fish cleaning station. No annual is held in a higher regard than any transient, weekender, or traveler. We welcome ALL campers to join in our weekly planned activities and introduce yourselves around. It’s a very friendly and welcoming place to be. I’ve also read lots of reviews saying that the best sites are reserved for annuals only. This is not true. Annuals spend hundreds, sometimes thousands of their own dollars to fix up those lots. Any addition to the lots must be reviewed and accepted by management. While there is a lot of undeveloped areas where sites can be, it is NOT the fault of the staff there or the manager. Believe me, requests have been made. This camp is just about at capacity for bookings each weekend so of course picking your own site is not going to happen here anymore. In the short time the manager has been there, the putt putt course has been rebuilt, the theme weekends have been amazing, the camper participation has improved, the park is better maintained, and there is a very long list of campers waiting to get in. Don’t always count the angry and vulgar “reviews” as truths. Visit the camp for yourself to see the friendly people, helpful staff, awesome family...

PLEASE WATCH YOURSELF WITH THIS PLACE!!
DANGER!!
This is a HORRIBLE campground and management!!
WATCH OUT PLEASE OF THIS PLACE!!!
BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!
Everything is Outdated!! Parks are small and broken down!! Food stand by the pool has been broken for years?? And why???? Not enough money to fix?? Store up front is an absolute JOKE. MANAGEMENT is a waste. They are rude and only like the old seasonal lot people who have been there for years and they run the campground together and they are ruining it!! GEESE POOP EVERYWHERE!!!!!!
Please don’t waste your time or hard earned money at this place. The MANAGEMENT will lie right to your face. No fun is allowed here. They are NOT KID FRIENDLY. Please STAY AWAY and save your money!!
To the owner…You say that you will do things but yet this manager can run the campground to the ground!! Stuff don’t work, playground stuff are broken,no good chairs at pool, food stand broke, rude manager, employees are pretty nice. That’s is about it!! Has the potential to be a nice place! Just the management is running it to the ground!! This is NOT a kid friendly place!!! All that is cared about is money. Nothing wants to be fixed. And how can a person who runs a campground be so rude!! Hopefully it’s realized before she (THE MANAGER) Ruins thousands of trails camp! Cuz I wouldn’t even wanna drive past this place! People should care more about things...
Read moreSuch a great park. I have yet to leave a review regarding a Thousand Trails park but felt this one earned it. The park itself is quite large however not a ton of spots overall but that is what made part of why it was great! Bigger rigs, like ourselves pulling a 45ft 5th wheel, are more on the outer rim of the park but that came with an entire view of the open grass area that's the whole center of the grounds. While there were trees on the property, thankfully non of them are towering over any of the actual spots. There were little play areas sprinkled across the grass area that my kids really liked and plenty roads to ride bikes around. Laundry room, like another review had mention has 6 washers all with agitators and 6 dryers. $2 to wash and $2 to dry. Machines take quarters only but better yet if you need change, the office will make the exchange you need. We also happened to trickle one day into the kids lounge in the main building. Had a bit of nostalgic feel walking thru and yet my kids really enjoyed it.
One thing to note - when driving in with your rig be sure to jump on the website before to get travel instructions and see the part about the 10'8 bridge within 5mins of the park. We didn't think to do that and unfortunately got stuck. Had to back up into someone's driveway along the road. It was a tight fit but thankfully after a 33-point turn we made it. Lol Otherwise, park was beautiful and quite. Would be happy to stop...
