This is a wonderful RV Park run by incredible people! We needed a place to set down for a month as we both had a ton of work to do, and little time for traveling. We found Bobcat Creek and decided to give it a shot for a few reasons. The monthly rate was the cheapest I’ve seen in our 9 months of full timing. We paid a flat rate of $375 for a FHU back in site, which included NON METERED (RARE) electric, and unlimited laundry access (SUPER RARE).
We arrived and checked in at the C-Store at the front entrance to the park, which has snacks, drinks, beer, and tons of RV necessities should you need them. Loren’s wife also cooks up some incredible food and has a nightly menu. You can even call them and they will bring your food to your site. The chicken and catfish were incredible!
We were greeted by the owner, Loren, who is super kind, pleasant, and accommodating. We hopped in his Polaris to head down to the sites and he showed us many that were available and let us have our pick. We chose site #8 because it was mostly level, and backs up to a wooded area. He then gave us a full tour of the property and showed us the small trail system that people use to walk their dogs. Lauren then brought us back up to our rig and he escorted us back down to the site, helped us park, and asked if we needed anything else.
This park is more of an RV Park than it is a “campground”. No fire rings/grills at the sites, but there is a common area with a fire pit, seating, and horseshoes/corn hole games. There are more long term tenants than transients, but we saw many people come through for a few nights. There are no showers, so you’ll need to be self contained if you plan to stay here. This wasn’t an issue for us. There were no unsightly rigs, or noisy guests.
It’s right off I-40 down in a valley, so the highway noise can a factor, but if the wind is blowing the right direction, you won’t hear a thing. We used the walking trails nearly every day, and it was so nice to end the work day with a mile long walk with the dogs.
The park is very well kept and we really enjoyed our month long stay here while we waited for the temps to get warmer in the north. Loren and his wife run a tight ship, and really love what they do....
Read moreWe found Bobcat Creek RV Park through ParkAdvisor, during a same day search for a one night layover from New Mexico, heading to Missouri. They are right off of I-40 in Sayre, OK. This is not a KOA Holiday resort, but what it is, feels so welcoming. You pull in to a full service, full fledge gas station/store (regular and diesel). You are greeted and helped to your site by the owner(s) family. The park itself is super clean (again I’m picky), the grass was well kept, each spot was a nice size (we had spot 25 and it was great). Some mature trees, some unshaded. They have a playground for kiddos, a dog area, and a really nice walking path that adjoins to a neighboring pond and cow pasture( no you don’t smell cow poo). Full hookups, 30/50 amp electric, water and sewer. They also have a super great idea of having a space by the gas/store front for those weary drivers just needing a few hours to refresh and go with electric…..wish there were more like this. And….as others have shared, they will bring a hot dinner to you from their store, Bruster’s chicken with sides of your choice….cant get much better after a long day driving, just get your order in. So while a no frill for this city girl, I loved the quaint atmosphere, quiet, amazing staff and well manicured park. I’d stay here again in a minute. Thank you Bobcat Creek RV Park for a restful, enjoyable...
Read moreStopped in last night on our quest to head back home to Walla Walla WA via Route 66 and my husband found this place I read the reviews and can say this place was awesome I wish we had stayed longer. You check in at the gas station that’s houses their office. And then you follow him to your site and when I say very kind ppl. The park was clean, spacious and the walking trail is nice. They don’t have shower/restroom facilities but heck that’s what your RV is for. They have a cute 2 washers and 2 dryers laundry shed and you pay on the honor system $1 to wash $1 to dry I did a load just because it was a real washer/dryer like home. (Yes I put my $2 in the box). They also have a dinner menu that you can purchase and they will deliver it to your site. At first I thought $15 was a bit much for a catfish dinner but baby those two fillets were huge I could have shared one ( ok who am I kidding I ate it all) the corn on the cob was so sweet and delicious and the potato salad was decent I really enjoyed the green tomato relish but I really wished they offered jalapeños or plain hush puppies cause I don’t care for jalapeños. If I could give more stars I would. Can’t wait...
