If I could give zero I would because of customer service and price. I'm appalled about how rude and disrespectful the staff at the swimming pool is. My family came up here looking for a fun new place to enjoy and escape from day to day life. Instead when we go to swim at the pool, we find out it's addition to go in the slide that's not monitored. My 2 year old has to be in a plastic pool on the slide because he wears a swim diaper. Then the amount of bees floating in the pool isn't exactly ideal for public swimming. As sad as it made my two year old I made sure he only played in the plastic swim pool as requested and did not get in the underground pools. However after about an hour of being there a cute family came in and their little girl had what appeared to be a swim diaper on under her swimsuit. She got in the underground pools as the "management" were awed by her cuteness. Then she decided she wanted to go on the slide and I noticed her dad only had green bands on vs the yellow band showing I paid for the "upgrade" to play on the slide. They went down the slide and went to go again even, and this slide ends in the underground pool. I asked the management why my son had to be in a plastic pool with a swim diaper but she could go wherever. She instantly jumped on the defense that it was not a swim diaper and she is potty trained. Pretty sure she wouldn't know if my kid was potty trained or not, I was only asked about him wearing a swim diaper or not. I then asked about the green band vs yellow. She proceededing to act as if I am dumb for asking and that I wouldn't know if they upgraded or not. Right, I don't know. However if someone upgrades isn't it common sense to then put a yellow wrist band on them too?? Then shortly after the end of my conversation with her she takes the gentlemens card to charge for the upgrade.... If you want a business to succeed and grow, follow rules you out in place with everyone. Use common sense and respect to your customers instead of treating my them like they're stupid to the obvious. Instead of buying a membership to come here more, instead our family is never coming again. Thanks for saving us the...
Read moreI am disappointed in the changes with SMR. Growing up I went there every summer. The scenery is beautiful and it was an organized resort. BUT the Management Team was not impressive this time. Poor communication and customer service skills. They have so much they could focus on throughout the resort but they choose to nit-pick. If you're partially parked on the grass they tell you to move because it will kill it. Funny thing is one night they had the sprinklers going and never turned them off so it was a swamp the next day. That will grow grass right? Plus its a drought year so why would they expect the community to grow grass. I self reported one item upon check-in. I had a tent in the RV park (with trailer) and I was willing to pay extra. To my surprise I was told its "ok" and free by the front desk rep so I was appreciative. Then when I checked out I was told my tent was too big and that it was a violation. I should have reserved another lot. Well SMR next time ask someone how big their tent is before sharing false info. Your website says nothing. Other things if you want me to nit-pick: Golf course never had driving range balls. I had to walk out and pick up a balls to fill up a bucket. The swim pool had dead bugs floating everywhere. Bathrooms have lights out in the showers. Garbage cans in camp sites were never emptied. And lastly, the office staff seemed like they dont like people to bother them. They had no smiles, no thanks for coming we hope you come again. Is there anything else I can help you with?? Customer Service People....I wont be going back to SRM the management team...
Read moreThis is a review about the rv park & campground. I’m giving 2 stars because it’s well maintained & the facilities are top notch. Now for the bad. We were in an rv spot and had friends staying in a tent site. The tent sites are literally 2 steps from a very busy road. Cars, trucks, atvs, UTVs, construction trucks going by ALL NIGHT LONG. And they still charge $25.00 for a spot. Then, they were at our spot with us at 8pm while eating. We had a little blue tooth speaker playing on level 2 volume. We were told to turn it down, even though quiet hours started at 10pm. (Words from the camp host mouth). We asked about trails for riding our rzr and we were scolded. The lady made it sound like we were looking to ride the private property around. As we were packing up to leave (2 days early) our friends were parked by us loading their truck with stuff from our site. They were told to move. I understand rules, I respect rules. However, we were being watched by vultures and felt like everything we did we’d get in trouble for. I do not recommend...
