Heartlake Lodge — Hotel in Scott Township

It was only OK. They just opened so maybe that's the issue. We paid $9.00 for that tiny basket of gravy fries. Never again. The gravy was tasteless. The fries were warm. Sad start to our visit. The hamburger and cheeseburger platters were surprisingly good after the fail of the appetizer. The staff was nice, but they all seemed overwhelmed. The table behind us had a heck of a time trying to get everything that actually went with their meal. They waited more than 10 minutes for the dressing that went with their salad. Most of the tables had the same issue. Not everything came out of the kitchen with their meal and they had to wait while their food got cold. We might go back in a few months after they get things sorted out. But still never ordering...

Very disapointed. Wait for food is very long. Have ben there 3 times, everytime waited to long to be served. 2 hour eating experience minimum each time. Food is good but wait time isn't worth it. And the last straw form me going back there was calling the night before, making a specific reservation for 6 people and then showing up the next night 5 minutes before the scheduled reservation and they did not have the table we requested. And were very rude in saying, "we do not acept reservations". Perhaps they should have mentioned that to my wife on the phone when she called and they accepted our reservation. Their loss, $200.00 dinner bill went to eat...

We went for lunch on St. Patrick 's Day(my first time) at Rustic Roots. Nice atmosphere. HOWEVER, we we told if we wanted hoagies they only had 3 available. 3? It was noon for Pete's sake. I ordered the brisket dinner, which was 14.99 or 16.99. When she delivered our plates, I was disappointed with what or what was NOT on my plate. No potatoes, 1 leaf of cabbage, maybe a second small one, carrots, and very little meat. It was tasty what little I had. But I'm very disappointed in the quantity for the price. Waitress was...
