OYO Hotel Dalton PA I-81 — Hotel in Scott Township

If i could give less than 1 i would. After posting my original review, i got contacted by a cell phone customer from pittston sending rude messages the morning after. I never even heard of this place until 8/13/21. Only reason I'm sharing this is because i posted a negative review then read others and found out some other ppl have been harassed by text. Don't stay there.... Original review: Staff was grumpy and clearly not happy, either because other employee was missing that was supposed to check me in or because i had arrived early due to planned event being cancelled, property not well maintained(kinda thought i might have been in a wrong turn kinda environment). Got to my room, towels were stained, handicap assistance bar in bathroom was broke, not that i needed to use it, but noticing that made me look closer...to the spider who made a home in the area one would put soap, which makes me wonder how long since it had been cleaned or used. Looking around i found 2 more that had a home right beside the tub, 1 on the heater under the sink and one right at the bathroom entry...all could have built a home in a few hours, but probably highly unlikely as the floor was dirty too, as i had lifted said nasty hand towel at one point since tossing it on the floor and seen dirt. Now I'm not a picky kinda gal and i can go with the flow with whatever but i really don't think they should charge what they do for that bates nightmare. Didn't even get a copy of my ID or anything...will not stayagain or recommend. OYO needs to investigate...

I only selected a star coz I had too. I would not recommend anyone stay at this motel. I ended up with eye infections and sinus infection after my stay here. My dog had to go to the vet coz she had eye infection too. The mold and mildew smell was beyond bad. I burned candles every day and night, poured cleaner in tub and toilet everyday and still the smell was so bad. On arrival my room didn’t look like it had been cleaned I had to sweep the carpet. I wish I could post the pictures I took of the room on day one of my stay nasty stained carpet, mold on the ac unit. Bedding was stained thankfully I had my own bedding but had to put it over theirs coz the mattress was gross so stained and nasty. Curtains looked like they never get taken down and washed. Couldn’t see out the windows coz they were so high up. I killed at least a dozen spiders in my room. Irony smelly water, no heater in my room The location wasn’t bad and the area felt safe but I’d never stayed after the first day if I could have gotten a refund for my booking. The front desk lady was rude and unprofessional. This place would be great if it was updated it is great need of lots of TLC. I wish I could send them my vet and doctor...

Very very run down. A rent by the hour kinda place. Black mold on the shower curtain and all over the shower wall. I don't mind out dated as long as they are clean. This place is not clean. I am a over the road truck driver without a sleeper so different state different hotel every night. No ice machine and nobody will even deliver food here. The heat in the room is a space heater because the wall heater don't work. I try to save my boss money because we are a small start up company witch is my best friend but this is a bad choice. Don't stay here. I try and support the small mama and pop places but this is just a run down bad choice without many options in this part of PA. I might need a tetanus shot on my way out in...
