Recap of Zooland Family Campground in North Carolina. 🐯 This place was awesome for families! So many fun things for the kids to do from blow up slide, pools, blob, pedal cars, arcade, and activities on weekends. We loved the little camper food truck with donuts too! 🤤 #camping #campground #campgroundlife #camp #fulltimerv #fulltimetravel #traveltiktok #travelingkids #campinglife #rvlife #campingwithkids #campingwithdogs

We had a great time here. It was our first time and we will definitely be back! We were in town for a football tournament for my son. My son loved riding his bike, jumping on the jumping pad, playing at the playground, and especially swimming in the pool. We were a little disappointed the water slide was closed. We also enjoyed fishing in the pond and even caught a pretty good size bass after only fishing four about 45 mins. The staff was extremely kind and the gift shop was cute and had most of the basic things you may need/want. It was carnival weekend and even with our busy football schedule we were able to participate in bingo and the clown magic show! I think the guys name was Larry who was running the bingo and he was great!!! I even won a round of bingo and there were great prizes to pick from! I don’t remember the clowns name but she was super sweet and put on a really cute show for the kids! We loved our site : 143! It had big trees for shade and lots of room and not too far from the bathhouse! The area we stayed at the sites had only grass not much gravel which I was aware of when booking. We didn’t get really any rain during our stay so it was no issue. If heavy rains are in the forecast it might be a problem. There’s also a pretty good size dog park with a bench and a few “obstacles” for your dogs. The bathhouses had real showers and were clean! When the campground is full the WiFi doesn’t work that great but who needs WiFi when you’re camping??

I requested a monthly site but never got one. Get told watch for availability by one worker but another,Diane, was very hateful and rude. i had to move from full service, due to Easter weekend, and found a water/sewer only for 2 weeks. Then the unavoidable happened, my mover cancelled , morning of move, due to emergency with family . I tried finding another but couldn't get anything until 5pm. Called immediately and explained the situation offered to pay if I could move late. I was told calm down don't worry it's fine nobody was coming into the site. (Thought it was reserved?) Whew covered it then employee knocks and says let's get you moved. Im thinking, "ok they need the space and sent him" got done by 2. Well that WAS WRONG. Now 2 days go by I see a monthly available and go to 1) apologize about my delayed moved 2) ask for 1 of the 3 available monthly sites BAD MOVE,upon entering store confronted by Diane asking did you get my message? Well no my phone had juice spilled on it and I was drying it out. Oh goodness don't open my mouth! Diane proceeds to say how their employees are not responsible to move my camper and I was told not to go to no sewer lot because "I'm killing her grass" only weekender can be down there. NOT DONE Also since I couldn't move in a timely manner her manager told her to refuse ANY further reservation for me. When my current paid time is up remove myself. Also "DO NOT HAVE any rugs, coolers, chairs, NOTHING outside YOUR camper. Again "IM KILLING HER GRASS". and shouldn't be down there . Well ok I took everything down did NOT go outside except to walk dog. Kept to myself ,had visitor so we could go get a birthday gift come. Received call her truck was blocking the road and needed to be moved immediately. Return" was at Dixie Dr" and she's leaving , her mom in truck to go her comes Diane about getting out of Rd. The pickup was about 3" out of grass only blocking Rd when door opened. DIDNT WANT TO KILL YOUR GRASS Needless to say I'm not allowed to make anymore reservations with them this season?. Fine I was miserable and have never felt so degraded in front of strangers and My 2 grandkids . Cheryl smiled and waved never approached me with anything, yet according to Diane it's her doing?! Yes the place is clean ,view nice ,and very noisy. Rules vary from person to person. Guess it's their personal choice. I was 124 I think site 121, from Florida there 2 weeks but they were allowed coolers tent outdoor rug etc. Every other camper had them but I...

The park itself is nice however the employees and poor management will make you go elsewhere. ITS RACISM AT ITS FINEST HERE.. They are constantly nagging about your kids or the most outrageous things. The manager told me I had to many ice chests outside my camper. They have very bad communication and people skills. I just stayed there for two months with my family. I was told by manager Cheryl and Diane that my stay can be extended from the 1st to the 4th. Oct 2nd they called my husband at work and asked him why we haven't left yet? We were both wondering why they were calling on the 2nd when we were told the 4th. They wouldn't let us even move to another spot when clearly they were lots and lots of vacancies. If I knew we had till the 2nd and not the 4th then I would have made those arrangements. Like I said earlier bad communication and then they said they sent me a email..NOT TRUE..so they decided to call the sheriff on me and try to charge me for trespassing. Sheriff comes to my camper and tells me this is a civil matter there is nothing they can do. Which I already knew because I called way before they did and they had already informed me about my rights. They would have to take me to court but by then I would already be gone because it's literally 2 days. So they were upset about that so they sent the sheriff back to ask me will I at least pay for the days? I said absolutely. I never said I wasn't going to pay... Well, the next day they doubled charged my account for the 2 extra days!! Now mind you.. they still owe me 30.00 for them over charging me when I first moved in OH I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT IN THE BEGINNING.. YEA, THAT WAS THE FIRST BAD SIGN OF WAITING 3 WEEKS FOR A 30.00 REFUND AND THEY WOULDNT LET MY KIDS BUY ANYTHING AT THE STORE INSTEAD... So not only have my whole family been treated bad but they called the sheriff on me and then double charged my card and still no 30.00 refund.. ON TOP OF THE FACT BEFORE ANY OF THESE ISSUES OCCURRED. I ASKED AN EMPLOYEE IN THE OFFICE WHEN I LEFT THERE WILL MY KIDS STILL BE ABLE TO COME SEE THE HAUNTED HOUSE FOR HALLOWEEN. HE SAID NO ITS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC... I ASSUMMED HE WAS HONEST. I WENT AND LOOKED ON LINE AFTER ALL THIS CAHOS WITH THEM. GUESS WHAT I FOUND OUT ...MY SPOT WAS AVAILABLE TO BOOK AT CHEAPER PRICE OHHH AND NOT TO MENTION THE HAUNTED HOUSE WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. 😡🤬SO IT JUST WASNT OPEN TO MY BIRACIAL BLACK KIDS...THIS PLACE HAS VERY POOR MANAGEMENT.. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY.. YOU WILL...

We have always loved visiting your campground. Love the staff- as we have been regulars for years. This last trip it seems things aren’t that good ole welcoming, reasonably priced situation. We understand you have completed upgrades. In which is very nice. But when you go from 59.99 per site to 77.74 per site overnight online - then it’s getting a bit over priced for working families to come and visit… And that’s fir the full hook ups. We hope you continue to do well. And we hope to be able to visit again. But with the price above it may not be feasible. We were hoping to be able to set up group camping for special needs family’s - but with no discounts, not feasible. We also noticing that you gave more live ins than you used to have. In which decreases spaces for regular visitors. There was another thing hat transpired. That blew our minds. You took our money gladly, but when we got to your facility we were told we were blocked. Because of something 1 year ago, in which if we had of known about we would not have did. We used to be allowed to put a 2 man tent on-site. When we came before it was not stated that we couldn’t do it anymore. We were spoken to and we understood the new rule, but was allowed to keep tent on the site that time knowing that next time we couldn’t do it. No problem. But you put a block on us. In which we weren’t told about. But you still took our money for our reservation. I feel we should have been informed about this before we booked a site. A lot of people would be very upset about this after driving from miles away. We didn’t see a need for such when we had already been told about the new policy. And since we were told about it , we were good with it. We are a family that abides by rules and regulations. To the utmost of our knowledge. Oh and your kick in fee is outrageous by the way. People be forewarned . If you don’t pay that 35.00 lock in fee. You will be put anywhere - from our understanding there is a group of officials that come to camp at zooland with their families. Well you list that group - even the mayor of that town was part of that group. Some things are outrageous - it used to be a welcoming calm enjoyable, affordable place to visit. We understand change, and trying to keep up with other places and demands. We pray you do well continually. And...
