I stayed about a month ago, noticed that everything exterior says Comfort inn, even the wifi. Interior is completely different however, reading as Quality Inn. I figured that maybe they've just recently switched names (for a reason I'm not too sure of considering both brands share a parent company) and it would be nice and complete upon my next stay, whenever that may be. Fast forward to now, and it hasnt changed a bit. I've never know a hotel to experience an identity crisis such as this one, but all is well. The rooms all say no smoking, however once reaching the top of the stairs I had to check my calender as it smelled as if it were 4/20. The room is decently sized, although if I had the option I'd have opted for a king bed to have just that little bit of luxury to come back to. Now lets talk about the bathroom. Its large! A nice open space to go about your duties. Plenty of room to include the sink/mirrow rather than have it thrust out into the greater room area. The toilet is a perfect size, not too round, nor too oval, and yes, it matters. As for the shower, they are kind enough to provide a non slip mat. Not thinking I would need it, I started my water to be boiling hot (the only way a shower should be had) and quickly regretted not using the mat once I found myself slipping and sliding in the tub like a greased up hockey puck. Having stayed in countless hotels for work, I have to question the desicion of every single one of why they can't choose shower inserts with built in slip protection! I face a greater hazard in my place of relaxation than at work! As I began to soap up my hair, the once lovely hot water abandoned me and liquid icy terror spurt forth its hatred towards all that is sacred. With my precious hot water went the water pressure, as the stream quickly reduced to one you'd find in a urinal. I lept out, determined not to become one with the ice, and fumbled with the door to the bathroom, (which does not lock btw. we as a species are most vulnerable when naked, so it is wise to always have a knife on hand as I do while showering!) Once dry and clothed for bed, I chose to sleep in the bed by the window, (for emergency escape purposes) and fiddled with connecting my device to the wifi, which is wonderful to have since there is no cell service here in the land of corn and soy fields. Eventually snoozing off, I had to awaken much too early for work to test the bed for a full nights sleep. Off I went, only to return 15 hours later to begin another dreadful cycle of nevee finishing that amazing dream. Numerically, I rate 3 of 5. If we're being real, I'd say bring the kids but leave...
Read moreOur reservation for 2 rooms was made the day before check-in over the phone. The man who took the reservation did not ask for any other names of individuals checking in and also did not give the discount for both rooms for being a member. Both rooms were in one name and we were unable to change or add any other names once the reservation was made, and this was NOT disclosed to us that we could make zero modifications. There were 4 people total in our party, 1 who drove from 8 hours away. She arrived first and since her name was not on the reservation, they would not allow her to check in (although her last name is the same). The other 3 people in our party would not be there for 1.5 more hours. The person on the reservation called, and Emily at the front desk said he “could have been anyone calling.” We asked her to call the phone number on the reservation to confirm it was him and she refused and was basically like sorry about ya. She was very rude on the phone and made an already upsetting situation worse. We explained the person at the hotel who made the reservation never explained this and also never said no modifications could be made. We called customer service and after 30 minutes back and forth where he was trying to get her to let our family member check in, he came back on the line and told me “ma’am, you really don’t want to know what she said to me.” She wouldn’t let her pay in cash, pay with her credit card, or call her manager (who is apparently only in on Thursday’s?!) to help remedy the situation. We repeatedly explained she just drove 8 hours after work and we are all here for a funeral. We asked if we could make another reservation in her name and she said “you can but we’re booked.” Her tone was o smug and even the customer service rep reiterated how displeased she was with her attitude. I finally hung up with customer service because he couldn’t do anything. We arrived around 10pm to stained/pilled sheets, a moldy bath mat, someone else’s toy on the floor, a stained chair, a lamp and clock that didn’t work, moldy faucets and ceilings, and the list goes on and on. The AC units run so loudly but don’t work properly making for no air flow and a stuffy room. A 1 star hotel with 0...
Read moreWe arrived at 12:55, asked if we could check in early, we were told no as they didn't have rooms cleaned. We waited in the lobby where we weren't checked on until 2:25, I found this extremely annoying as I heard the deal Clerk be asked to & walked a dog during this time. As a former customer service manager this definitely made me feel like my business wasnt appreciated & no apology was given for the delay. In this time I used the restroom off the lobby where although a feminine hygeine & soap dispenser were both were empty (they did have hand soap bottle on sink), the ceiling tiles in the restroom were stained from previous water damage. Once in our room the refrigerator cabinet was broken. The pool had a deflated float in it. The next morning we attempted to use the pop machine but it was empty of mt dew, I told my fiance to get me oj from the breakfast area but at 7 am there was a sign out of oj. The bed was as hard as a board & we slept 2 hrs total. There was pizza crust, trash, cereal & socks left discarded in the smoking & pool area. When returning from smoking at 9:22 am we found our key cards no longer worked although checkout was 11 am. I'm disabled so my fiance had to go have our key card reprogrammed & at that point I was just done so we grabbed our stuff & were out by 10 am but the online receipt shows after 11 I'm assuming that was once an inspection was done on housekeeping part. I was very disappointed for $103 it definitely wasn't worth it. I feel like due to their location & lack of competition people are kinda forced to stay there & accept less than great service. If this is a franchise situation, I highly suggest a mystery shopper/audit situation as i don't feel the brands standards are...
