We attended a weekend wedding at Straus Family Farm. This place was less than a minute drive away, across the street and a bit down a small winding road. We stayed two nights. The room was comfy, kind of shabby chic decor. We had the garden room, view of the bay with a small table and chairs, plus two comfy sitting chairs and a fireplace with books and games. CD's as well, if you have something to play them. Fairly large bathroom, small fridge. No tv, but we were not there much. Fun continental breakfast served between 8-9, you fill out a form of what you want and when, and it is delivered to your room. We had delicious coffee, three types of sweet bread, orange juice and a bowl of fresh strawberries and blueberries. There were also two wine glasses and an opener. Beds were really comfy and had a down quilt. Not fancy, but the convenience of the wedding venue was perfect. Wonderful bakery in Tomales, delicious deli next to it. Dillon Beach a short drive. Nick's Cove a quick drive, as well. Proprietor Bob was friendly and accommodating....

It's the perfect romantic getawat and spiritual reset. The water and hills outside our wall of windows are so bright and calm, it's perfectly quiet here with birds and distant surf instead of freeway as background noise.
There's just enough wifi to figure out where to plan a fun day but little enough to prevent Netflix binging when you're supposed to be "unplugged."
GREAT dinner spot nearby: Nick's Cove seafood restaurant - check out the surprise at the end of the pier :)
Beds are ultra comfy, rooms are homey, welcoming. With an easy chair, rocking chair, scrabble board, books, wine glasses & bottle opener so you've got everything you need to cozy in for the weekend with your honey.
I highly recommend the Inn on Tomales Bay to get away, reconnect, unplug and feel happy and refreshed when you...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I planned a last-minute trip in Point Reyes and called The Inn around 9 PM on a Friday night. John answered and was happy to get us set up with a room that night! We got in around 10:30 PM or so -John has left instructions for me on the door, but he was still up and walked us to the room and explained the ins-and-outs. Our room was charming! Clean, cozy and perfect for our quick stay. The bed was super comfortable and we were greeted by the sunrise over the bay in the morning! Next, we were greeted by coffee and sweet bread brought to our door. There’s no better way to start the day than sipping coffee looking over the bay in your own private room! We weren’t in town long but we definitely enjoyed our stay. We were so thankful for the warm welcome, especially coming in last minute! John and Lynette, thanks for saving us and making our stay so cozy!...
