We rented the camping trailer for one night at Skagit River campground so we could extend our visit to the North Cascades. We booked our entire trip late and using Skagit River's trailer was our only option.
The campground is very conveniently located to the town of Marblemount and North Cascades National Park.
Gary and Linda, the camp hosts, were very nice, down to earth. They offer firewood, bags of ice and ice cream bars for reasonable prices.
The trailer was very clean. It offers a fire pit, picnic bench, coffee maker with coffee, a fridge, microwave and a stove.
The master suite of the camper has a huge bed and can be closed off with a door for privacy.
In the living area-kitchen, there's a dinette that seats four and a faux leather sofa that seats 3. The 2 end seats recline to near flat.
We had a few issues with the trailer during our one night stay. These may get resolved but check prior to booking.
The air conditioning unit leaked water onto the floor which made a puddle in front of the door to the master suite. We reported this to Linda when we checked out and she was going get someone to look at it.
The shower head had a hole on the back of it for what appeared to be for an attachment the greatly reduced the water pressure. Our remedy was to jam a finger tip in this hole and pressure was improved.
The shower drained very slowly. To the point you'd be standing in a couple of inches of water during your shower. This would drain and the cycle would start again. This is kind of typical of trailer showers depending on the slope of drain to the sewage.
We had a party of four but we're only given 2 towels. We didnt realize this point until late. Gary and Linda may have had additional towels for us to us but it would have been nice to have them available in the trailer already.
There were no instructions or additional bedding to make beds from the couches or dinette.
Before renting I would recommend asking about these items and checking when you arrive to make your stay at Skagit...

This campground is completely unresponsive and has, perhaps, the most unprofessional and profoundly archaic methods for doing business that I've ever experienced in all the campgrounds I've dealt with.
DO NOT book this campground. DO NOT pay them through their online "reservation deposit" portal.
Background: Having attempted to call the campground a half dozen times in November and December, using both their online form from the website as well as phone calls and voicemails, I finally received a callback from someone, who is seemingly the owner. I'll just use the letter L in place of their actual name. We were unable to connect, but L said "he'd call me back later". Four days later after multiple texts from him also saying he'd call back shortly, I finally got a hold of him to make a reservation on January 3. He informed me that he'd mark us down for two sites and that I would simply need to use the website to pay the deposit, and that once I had done so, he would send a confirmation email for my reservation. I went ahead and made the deposit on the same day.
11 days later, I had received no confirmation email.
I inquired via text, to which L again said he would send the confirmation email and confirmed my last name for the reservation. Radio silence followed.
4 days later, still no confirmation email. I sent another reminder, to which L says "Ok cool, I'll send you a confirmation tonight". (You already know how this goes, he didn't)
I followed up again 1 day later, 3 days later, 5 days later, and 12 days later, repeatedly asking for proof that my reservation was actually made. Finally on the 12th day, he asks again "what is the last name on the reservation" ... and he has no record of it whatsoever.
I'm furious to have wasted the amount of time and energy I did with the ineptitude of both this campground and L. My advice is to...
Read moreGets the job done! We had a very nice stay here after striking out in all the first come, first serve sights in the National Park during Labor Day weekend. I'm not sure if it was the manager or the owner, but a fella with long, white hair and his wife were helping us. Very friendly folks. Our fire pit was actually filled with enough wood for a fire, and the gentleman even said if we needed another piece or two to let him know. They also have someone that sells wood for a good prices next door. This is not an RV resort- no frills kind of place, but that is reflected in the prices. We paid $40/night which is a great price anywhere, but ESPECIALLY for Washington. You couldn't ask for a better location if you're wanting something around the NP. There's a general store, a few restaurants, and a drive-thru coffee shack all within 5 mins. The NP is 15/20 mins away from the RV park. I will warn you, our spot was pretty dirty- as in, actual dirt. Not so much where you would park your RV, but around our table and fire pit, there were some mounds of dirt that would easily get kicked up. That may very well may have just been our site or a few close to ours. They do have WiFi, but it didn't work at all for us. Not a big issue for us personally, but just a forewarning if it is for whomever reads this. Sites and showers/bathrooms are older, but clean. Park has nice surrounding scenery, and they also offer complimentary ice. They do daily, weekly, and...
