Since calling and asking to be called back MULTIPLE times and to this day we still have not received a call back, maybe leaving a review will spark the urge in someone to give me or my husband a call. We stayed here for my husband to work roughly 3 months. Let me say this first, we have no complaints about the park it's self. Very well maintained, guests are normally respectful of others items etc.. However, let me alert you to the other mess that you will have to deal with. While staying here, we paid our rent & electricity in full, always days before the due date, we kept our spot clean, we followed ALL of the rules in place by the owners. We left the park on June 5th, having just paid our prorated rent for the month of June. When my husband left, we were told that we would receive a check in the mail for our deposit and the amount back that we had paid for the month of June. So a total of 25 days we have paid for that we are supposed to get our money back for. Also, the owner Tony was mowing one day and threw a rock and hit my car door, knocking the paint off and leaving a nice dent in my door (see photo). He promised to pay to have it repaired and all I had to do was get a quote on getting it fixed and call him with the price and he would have it fixed. Since we have been home we have called MULTIPLE times trying to see when the check would be mailed for the deposit & unused rent amount, and speak with Tony or have him call us back to speak about the quote we received to have my car door repaired. We have been brushed off and told that the park is in the process of being sold. I honestly don't care, this is money that I'm owed and I will receive one way or another. If I have to hire a attorney to get the money we are owed & have the damage to my car door repaired since it was damaged on the owners behalf then that's what will happen. I never threw a fit when he told me about the damage, I agreed that it was fine as long as he paid to have it repaired. It's ridiculous that I have to beg for the money that I'm owed and have my property repaired. So needless to say, maybe this will get someone's attention and I'll receive a phone call back 🤷🏽♀️ I'm over leaving messages and calling just to be blown off or told the same thing over and over.
EDIT TO ADD: In response to the owners comment back. I have attached all call logs to your business. Including the call from my husband on June 5th notifying your office that we would be leaving. It was disclosed upon arrival that his job was temporary, and we could have to leave at any given moment to which you stated you understood.
I don't have to explain why we left abruptly, and if you want to speak to others in the park about us and believe what they say that's on you. Situations arose at home with family members that left us with no option but to leave immediately.
To address the damage, you also spoke to my husband and told him to call you with the estimate. Since we have gotten that we have tried calling multiple times (June 14th, 18th, 27th & again yesterday) to contact you about this, and we were just given a email address to send it to on 7/3/21.
So all of the messages left for you must've been lost by your office staff.. maybe check with them and why their incompetent on relaying messages to you.
Yes I left a review, to which I also added that this park was nice and taken care of, nice tenants etc.. but since my messages weren't being returned I saw this as the only way to speak to you directly about these issues. I have a phone number, and have left it with your office staff multiple times along with my name to have you return my calls. When this wasn't working, I found another way to ensure that you received my message.
UPDATE 7/8/21 as requested by owner, estimate was emailed 5 days ago today. No response from anyone yet, also tried calling again and got no answer.
UPDATE 7/17/21 Still no response from Tony, we're told there are new owners.. Still very rude. Tony will not respond to any of my emails, calls, or...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights while traveling north up I-95. The campground contains a mix of pull-through and back-in sites, all with gravel pads and grass lawns. Instead of picnic tables, most sites have either circular or rectangular patio tables and two or more high-back outdoor patio chairs. The campsites near the front of the campground have some shade trees but generally a clear view of the sky, while the sites further into the campground have a more forest-like feel. Our site (H5) was a full hookup pull-through site that was nearly perpendicular to the road between the office and the clubhouse area, so we we directed to enter the site by crossing that road where it intersected with the road between the C and D sites, which worked out fine. At first glance, it wasn’t clear that we had a gravel pad, but like some of the other sites I saw the gravel was obscured by leafy ground cover. The site was level, and the hookups were in a reasonable spot. Because site H6 on our right was angled towards the front exit of our site, we made sure we weren’t far enough forward to block any departure from that site. Even with that, we still had plenty of room for our 37-foot fifth wheel and 21-foot truck (which we parked in the back).
In terms of amenities, there are two sets of bathrooms and laundry rooms, one in the office building and one in the clubhouse building. The clubhouse also has a communal indoor space and two covered porches. The east porch has wicker chair with seat cushions and looks out over a pickleball court, a basketball hoop with an unmarked concrete slab for a small court, and a large playground. The west porch also has chairs and leads out to the swimming pool. The south end of the park borders a lake with a small duck population that allows catch-and-release fishing, with a grassy shoreline where dogs can be walked on-leash. There is also a pair of dog parks (one large and one small) that share an airlock-style entrance located near the office, as well as a dump station. Propane refills are available, but there is a 5-gallon minimum for filling up.
It rained the entire time we were there except for the morning we left. The positive aspect of that was the rain helped to drown out the road noise from the interstate as well as the train noise from the other side on the interstate (the noise level was too low to bother us). The negative aspect was that the grass on our passenger side became one giant puddle to splash through. Some of the roads in the forested areas of the campgrounds are unpaved, but although the rain revealed a few ruts in those roads they didn’t seem soft or slippery.
In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 18 Mbps down and 10 up, and had no trouble streaming video during the evening. The best speed test I ran on my 5G AT&T smartphone showed 75 Mbps down and 11 up. I tested the campground WiFi once during our stay and saw both 84 Mbps up and 37 down: I will note that it looked like we were right next to a WiFi booster on a pole.
We would stay here again if we were...
Read moreCONTEXT - My husband and I are younger full-time RVers who recently relocated to the area for work. I will mostly let the pictures of North Pointe “Resort” speak for themselves, but I would like to explicitly mention a few things that caused us to leave the park and find a new location. We arrived at North Pointe at the beginning of June and left on July 25th.
In just 2 months we witnessed a fist fight and heated arguing between grown men at the 4th of July potluck (which was in front of kids watching fireworks), drunken midnight karaoke sessions you can hear throughout the park, and constant in-fighting and drama between management and staff (often publicly on Facebook in the community group), among other peace-interrupting aggravations that I won’t continue to mention.
The final incident was when the manager, James, confronted me about feeding/watering the ducks that THEY PROVIDE FOOD FOR IN THE OFFICE while my husband was traveling for work and I was alone. I was inside my RV with the blinds closed, the air conditioner on, and doors locked when James banged on my door and without a greeting or any of the niceties of a normal conversation starts scolding me like a child (finger pointing and all) about giving water to the ducks next to our RV. For the record not only do they sell food for the ducks in the front office (and our RV was near the pond), but there is also nothing in writing that explicitly says not to feed or water the ducks by your RV nor was anything brought up to me prior to the scolding.
While Jeanie and Tina in the front office are so helpful and sweet and they did refund our entire electric deposit and comped some small incidentals that we owed, everyone involved with the management and ownership of this park should be thoroughly embarrassed. Maybe take a good, hard, look at the bigger picture rather than a guest giving water to ducks when it's over 100 degrees outside....
