Home Place Pastures: A Delightful Homestead Experience
My family and two close friends from church decided to partake in the monthly supper event at Home Place Pastures. From the moment we stepped onto the welcoming porch, we felt the warmth of true Southern hospitality. The homestead atmosphere set the tone for an evening of exceptional service and delectable, home-cooked cuisine.
More than anything else, Gracie embodied the spirit of the farm. Her dedication was evident in her kind demeanor and attentiveness, making us feel right at home. She patiently answered all our questions and checked on us several times throughout the meal, ensuring we were well taken care of. The menu was a bountiful array of farm-raised pork, beef, and an assortment of fresh, seasonal sides. We began our culinary journey with appetizers of a cheese and sausage plate and crispy onion rings. Both were bursting with flavors that took us back to simpler times.
For our main courses, we indulged in an assortment of dishes that included succulent chops, hearty salads, juicy steak burgers, and comforting pasta. Each entrée was outstanding, marked by its farm-fresh ingredients and impeccable taste. It was clear that a lot of care went into every aspect of the entire supper, making the entire experience nothing short of amazing.
To cap off the evening, Gracie surprised us with chocolate chip cookies and a slice of homestyle cake, adding a sweet finale to our meal and leaving us with a sense of contentment and nostalgia.
Home Place Pastures excels in every aspect: genuine service, a charming homestead ambiance, and a kitchen staff that is truly on top of their game. I highly recommend giving this place a try; it will warmly embrace you with its rustic charm. To the Home Place Pastures team, keep up the outstanding work—your homestead is a treasure.

Read moreWe recently discovered this little gem tucked away in the county. My doctor has put me on a new diet and grass-fed meat is all I can have. We stopped in Sunday after church and truly had the best burger I've ever had! They have the sweetest servers and cutest little restaurant! They were so helpful in explaining everything to me. I can't wait to go back! This will be our new go-to! It's just a few miles off I-55, so if you're on a strict grass-fed diet, it's totally worth the stop! They also cook their sweet potato fries in Talo (beef fat) so it's not vegetable oil. They serve beef bacon too! Pasture raised Pork and chicken. Tell...
Read moreI bought one of the Weekender packs, just a surprise bag of meat, who doesn't like a surprise bag of meat?! Have gotten them a few times and everything has been so insanely good. Kielbasa with the perfect snap, breakfast sausage with just the right spice, and this time around the most obscenely delicious, perfectly juicy, hellaciously serotonin-y pulled pork. You grow up around here and you've had a 100 flavors of the stuff but this was by far the best I've ever had- so good I had to run over here and rave about it. Is it because the pork is from happy pigs pre-bbq or did they just find the magical pork...
