Nelson Duck Pond is a “hidden” vacation barn cabin located in the midst of Sequim's Lavendar country. There is a cute lavender gift shop on the property. The property is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The “duck pond” is stocked with trout which we easily caught and cooked for dinner. When our children were primary age they had a blast rowing a boat in the little pond. ||||The casual layout is great for a family or a romantic stay as the owners are located across the pond so you can socialize with them or be cloistered all to yourself. Owners were friendly, helpful and very hospitable.||||Living area is located above a “barn” structure consists of an open bedroom, stocked kitchen, living room with a fireplace, TV, and additional sleeping area for 3-4 other people.||||Negatives, It might be difficult for some to walk up the stairs , the well water has a sulphur smell to it (a water filter pitcher is provided in the refrigerator), you need to “strip your bedding” and take that and your towels downstairs...

Read moreOff to a rocky start, but glad I went back! YOU SHOULD VISIT! Saw their ad on the Coffee Times and it said they were open year round. Went there during the hours listed, and there was a woman going into the house thru the garage, but she didn't acknowledge us. The door to the shop was locked and the OPEN sign was off. She could have turned and said 'we're closed.' I said that I probably wouldn't go back, but Husband said I may only be hurting myself. Called when they were next opened, and I am so glad I didn't blow them off! The shop has a great assortment of lavender products, and the gentleman who rang up my purchases couldn't have been nicer. I purchased several different lavender cooking enhancements including Garlic Lavender Pepper and Parmesan, Garlic and Rosemary Olive Oil. I'm sure I'll be ordering on line when I'm no longer staying...
