We stayed here in a covered wagon for 2 days in October. The wagons stay perfectly warm with the heat setup. Each wagon had a king sized bed and twin bunks. Keurig coffee maker and mini fridge and microwave. Stocked with a gallon of spring water and coffee pods. Bathrooms are located in the red barn behind. Two full bathrooms and the dining space and game area. Firewood is available for purchase $10 per bundle. Park grills are outside in the community are for cooking. Owners were super nice. I recommend renting a golf cart. Our kids loved it and we rode around quite a bit with them. Small zip line was also a hit. We didn’t use the corn hole but it was up by the barn. We had planned to go to Dollywood but the kids liked just running around so much they were too exhausted to go. We will surely come back especially once phase two of development...
Read moreOh my what an experience. It was a spur of the moment trip. My husband and I are retired and planned a trip to Maryland for our anniversary. The day before we left for Maryland I asked him if he wanted to go to Tennessee to stay in 'one of those Conestoga wagon places' that we saw several years ago on Facebook. So an extended few days in Tennessee was a natural extension. This place is FABULOUS. My aunt, from Chattanooga, joined us. Shes 77. My husband 74 and I'm 71. Navigating the stairs at 2 am to go to the bathroom was not an issue like I thought it might be. Our evenings spent in 'the Barn' playing cards was so much fun. The bathrooms were clean as well as the large showers. We're already planning a long girls weekend. Rob and his wife were excellent hosts. I highly recommend this resort for family get togethers or...
Read moreWe came with a group of older ladies and my best friend for a very weird bachelorette retreat! Some stayed in the wagons and I stayed in the tipi. We rented the golf carts, without with I would have been lost. For the older of our group with mobility issues it was necessary for bathroom trips. The bathrooms (there are 2 currently, each with a toilet and shower) are a hike up hill from the tipis. We were warm, despite the cold and never needed to use the large heater in the tipi. The staff was welcoming and on top of every need. They asked for feedback and discussed their plans going forward. Ultimately, having traveled the world, I’d stay here again. If you have mobility issues though then you’ll want to stay in the wagons for a short walk to...
