We stayed in the RV park for two days, and while the park is pretty bare bones, it was an enjoyable experience. First, the good - The sites are long and very easy to pull into (we fit a king cab truck with a 30' travel trailer, and had room to spare). The sites are flat, it was very easy to level my rig. Each site also had 30/50 amp power, water, and sewer hookups. If you have a satellite dish, you will find it very easy to get a signal. The price is spot on, very inexpensive (the total for two nights with a Good Sam discount was under $30). The park has camp showers (with decent water pressure) and a kitchen (we didn't use it, so I didn't see if it was clean). The park is close to the interstate, so not super quiet, but I couldn't really hear the traffic over the A/C. The sites are in walking distance of three restaurants (two sit-down and one DQ), with a Mickey Ds right across the overpass. There are also three RV friendly gas stations on the same exit. Since the RV park is run by the attached motel, the main office is open later than most RV park offices. Now the not so good - There is no privacy between the sites, not even so much as a bush. Similarly, there are zero trees (no shade). The lack of privacy extends to the showers as well. There are no dressing rooms, just a small area with a shower curtain that blocks the view from the door. You still will be visible to about half of the restroom (feels rather like a locker room). There are also no doors on the toilet stalls, just shower curtains. The restroom was also not the cleanest facility I've ever seen, not really dirty, per se, just a little neglected. The site we stayed at had almost no water pressure. I would suggest filling your tanks and using your water pump. Be warned, filling your tank could take a couple of hours, so plan accordingly. The water spigots are in-ground, and can be a pain to connect hoses to. You will also need to get a water key from the front desk. No cable, no pool, and no Wi-Fi. Final verdict - If you're looking for a place for long term camping, I would not recommend this park due to its lack of privacy and amenities. However, for a single night stop, a huge two thumbs up. The price can't be beat, and the sites are big enough to stay connected overnight. I would definately use this park for an...
Read moreThis was a less than satisfactory experience right from the get-go. We had to wait to get into the lobby because the employee was off smoking with his friends at the other end of the parking lot. You'd think if you had no vacancy that night, you should be available at the front desk...
Then, we selected a ground level room online during our reservation knowing how exhausted we would be, but they gave away all the ground floor rooms and we had to haul all our stuff upstairs after an already strenuous trip. The front desk employee didn't even know how to check me in and had to call someone to walk him through it. Our key code wouldn't work and we had to wait for the guy to come up and reset it, which in doing so he entered the master code to rekey the lock right in front of us!! Glad to know they just show anyone how to rekey every lock in the building! Needless to say, we put all our luggage against the door that night, plus there wasn't even a peep hole to check if anyone was at the door.
I'm just getting started, there were no towels for showering and no bath mat so water got all over the floor and I had to dry off with my clothes. The shower liner had several ripped holes and was just hanging on there, like c'mon a shower liner cost $1.25! Water pressure was poor and the temperature kept fluctuating. No trash can in the bathroom for feminine products, which I found out when it was too late, so thanks for that. There's no lamp lighting so had to have the bright light on the ceiling turned on when trying to relax. No availabile outlets anywhere near the vanity for my hair dryer, no hand soap available, no tray in the coffee maker to put the little pod in so couldn't make coffee, bedding was just a sheet and a very thin quilt...It seriously feels like these people don't want to put the basic efforts in for running a motel. We couldn't even contact the front desk because there was no phone in our room, and it was late at night so I was not going to walk all the way down there, if they were even open. We were offered a $20 discount at check in for the booking error, but honestly no refund was wanted, we just wanted to get out of there and clearly they need the money for...
Read moreEverything that night had gone wrong, and we ended up stranded in the parking lot of this hotel at midnight 3.5 hours from home still. We had no choice, there were no other places in the area. Strangly, the front desk was closed, but we managed to get booking company to rent us a room for the night, we just had to wait until the attended got there with the key. Keep in mind I did look at the website pice really quick and it looks like the rooms were ok for one night we get our key and walk upstairs to our room. Opened the door and was immediately assaulted by the smell of animal urine! The carpets where felt like years of grime clung to it. The old wall unit AC had car air fresheners hanging on it to try and mask the urine smell, it did not help. We huddled on the bed. That seemed like the only clean thing in the room, at least the sheets smelled like bleach. Called my husband to come get us because we can't stay here, and 3 hous later he picked us up and drove us home. We contacted the corporation that managed the hotel to get a refund on the very gross room we were given, and only stayed in fir 3 hours. They said the refund would be up to the hotel, we'll the hotel said since we stayed for 3 hours, there would be no refunds. Even though the room was disgusting and they have no other room to give you. For the love of all that is clean, drive like 5 more min and stay in a...
