Lone Point Recreation Area — Hotel in Shelbyville

We are traveling through and just staying one night. We stayed in Site 46 and what a view of the lake! It's a little off the highway and the back roads weren't exactly smooth. We arrived a little after 4:00 and there wasn't anyone at the check-in station, so we proceeded to our site. After we got set up we went back to check-in, but still no one was there. Nice quiet place. Playground nice and clean bathrooms clean. But there was no soap to wash your hands with 😆 all in all everything was great everyone super nice boat launch right there. we went kayaking the lake was right behind our campsite so it was perfect and nice little trail from our campsite to the waterfront. I really liked this campground. If you get the right site, it can feel pretty private. Otherwise there is not a lot of privacy between sites (no bushes, few trees). The lake was very beautiful and we were lucky to have a site with a great view of it. The bathrooms were very nice, I was expecting vault toilets in the outlying areas of the campground but they had flushing toilets, sinks (no soap though) and...
