We rented the spacious 2 bedroom cabin which has water views in most rooms. There's no need for fans in 90 degree heat with the cool sea breeze. The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked with essentials. The kitchen also has new seasonings and other items left behind by other renters. The beds are firm and comfortable for us, and you can tell linens are clean. Shows cleaning staff has pride in their work. The resort has new Weber gas grills next to the gazebo which we used to grill meat. They had outdoor movie night on Saturday, but we stayed in the cabin to enjoy the water view while streaming movies on TV. Across the 2-lane highway is the nice dock with built-in seating and tables where you can enjoy the view while eating your food. Harvesting oysters is available, but guests must adhere to restrictions per resort signs. The resort has free ice maker and very clean public restrooms and showers. Guests can also use the hot tub or recreation room. The only setback is the highway noise which made it hard to sleep through the night. You would need ear plugs. The bedroom in the back is the only room that's quiet for sleeping. Location is near restaurants and food market. I recommend eating at Burger Stand. Food is good and reasonable.

We’ve been coming to Glen Ayer for four years in a row, and it continues to be one of our favorite end-of-summer traditions before the kids head back to school. The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the whole place is very family friendly, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. The facilities are consistently clean and well maintained, and even though there have been two different owners over the past four years—which could sometimes bring uncertainty—each owner has continued to grow and improve the property. This year, we were pleasantly surprised to see the nice upgrades in the common clubhouse area. The only thing we missed was the popcorn machine 🍿, which has always been a fun treat—hopefully it makes a comeback next season! We were also excited to learn about the new additions to the weekend activities, like yard games and a movie on the lawn Saturday night. Those family touches make our stay even more memorable. We’re already looking forward to returning next year and seeing what new improvements have been made. Glen Ayer truly keeps getting better each season!

This place is such a hidden gem! We stopped here on an RV trip and were originally only going to stay 1 night and ended up staying for 4. It has everything we're looking for in an RV park. Dog friendly with off-leash areas, and a really nice hiking trail to take them on walks. A lounge with free coffee and fast wifi perfect for getting some work done. Laundry, hot tub, dock, grill station, community firepit and gazebo. They even set up an outdoor movie theater on Saturday night. I love the community vibe that the camp hosts and long term residents create. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The grounds manager Joachin and his family were so lovely, and Joachin went out of his way to help me get a tool I needed in town for a Sunday project that went awry 😆. We plan to return soon with our e-bikes and kayaks for even more adventuring!

We came here with a dive group of 10 divers to get my husband and son Scuba certified. I was beyond impressed with the facility and how it caters to divers. We rented the kitchenette suite and it was perfect for our family of 5. The suite itself is dated and the toilet is small but it met every need we had. The HUGE bonus is the access to the clubhouse and the divers shed. We had one none diver in our group that did not want to wait on the dock while we were in the water so they were able to relax where it was warm and dry till we were finished. They also have a kitchenette there that can be utilized and aquire some minor essentials. Salt and pepper for us lol. The divers shed has 4 lockers available for rent but the massive bonus is the heated fan you can set. After rinsing/hanging your gear, just hit the timer and walk away. By next day, your gear is ready to be used. Dive shop and grocery store is right down the road so if you forget anything, it's only a 5 minute drive. Fabulous local non chain restaurants under 10 minutes, for when you don't want to cook. Staff as super helpful and want to make sure you have a good stay. Please don't make the same mistake I did and inconvenience the staff by overestimating how fast you can test out 6 divers before checkout time. We were there at Sun Rock and the dive group took longer than expected. The staff was very professional with us when we checked out an hour past our check out time. They were genuinely kind when they mentioned that any guest, even checked out for the day, can use the facilities in the clubhouse to shower and change before heading home. If we visit hoodsport again, we are...

I almost want to lie and say this place sucks just so everyone doesn't book it up every damn summer more than it already tends to be... But I can't. The people here are so amazing, friendly, and welcoming. My daughter pretty much spent the entire 2 days we stayed here with the staff helping clean rooms and at the front desk. I'm sure if you were to ask her she knows every single one of there names and will tell you they are her best friends that live at Cushman ha! We ended up cooking a lunch for them out on there bbq to say thank you for such wonderful hospitality shown to us. There rooms are very clean. It's cool to watch the abundance of different R.V.s coming in and out and they have a private dock right across the street that is only for there establishment. Shortly before we arrived they had a pod of whales come thru and hang for a few days which happens every year!! Hopefully we wont miss that next summer. They typically have games and fun outdoor stuff for the kiddos to do if there are enough of them staying there which is something I remember being a kid and going to Canada every summer to a resort looking forward to all of the activities they had planned. We came in as strangers to this place just looking to crash for a few nights to get to the lake during the day and we left with a few more summertime family members honestly. My daughter talks about these guys alot wondering how there doing and anxious for our next trip. We miss all of you and WILL see you again for another lunch cook out. ❤😉 until then...

Well, we were so excited to stay here.... I will say, this is one that it is very obvious the current managers possibly dont like children..... we have been utilizing the clubhouse to do our homeschooling, and not everyday just maybe twice a week, and about 3 hrs, and the manager decided to lock the side door we usually use to enter because she needed peace and quiet. She also has rudely stated in front of our girls, "they just arent used to people "living" here pointing to the clubhouse area." I am a very patient person, it takes quite a bit to get me going, but this manager and her "mature" comments and way of handling us "invading" the space that we are paying for is starting to push my buttons. She threatened to throw our swimsuits away after leaving them to dry in the hot tub room, because..."we arent the only people who live here..." agreed, and all she needed to do is politely and maturely knock on our trailer or wait til she saw us again to just let us know they are not ok with leaving personal belongings in the tub house.... idk if she just has a sustain for our family, since we are the only with kiddos here right now, or what. I was referring this place out like crazy when we first arrived.... now, just a warning if you have kids, you may not want to stay here. The hot tub house is nice, the dock area is beautiful, so everything great... excluding the manager who just doesnt want us here...... sad, so sad.

And the worst part, we will be here til June, we would love to stay the whole time, but not sure if...
