Extremely Disappointing and Unhygienic -Beware of Misleading Reviews.
This was by far the worst lodging experience I've ever had. Upon arrival, we were given a room that had not been cleaned after the previous guests—beds unmade, trash left behind, and even personal belongings still there. When we raised the issue, management “upgraded” us to a cabin that reeked of cigarette smoke, marijuana, and overpowering fragrance plug-ins. It felt so dirty—absolutely nothing like the “rustic charm” described in reviews.
The surroundings were equally unpleasant, with views of cluttered and trash-strewn areas around the cabin. We didn’t feel comfortable placing our luggage on the floor and ended up leaving most of it in the car for fear of contamination. Things got worse: •Dishes in the cabinet were greasy and covered in chip crumbs. •The refrigerator was broken, causing us to lose all our groceries. •The bedding was filthy—grit in the sheets, debris in the bed, and all the pillows were covered in hair. •The bedroom was unbearably hot and stuffy. •We used all of the towels just to feel comfortable lying down. •My child tried sleeping on the couch only to discover a dirty sock between the cushions.
We woke up at 3:30 a.m. feeling hot and itchy, packed our bags, and were out by 5 a.m. I am genuinely baffled by the number of positive reviews this place has received—it makes me question their legitimacy. I regret not seeing a more honest portrayal beforehand. I would never recommend this property and strongly advise others to...
Read moreThis campground deleted my review on Airbnb and appears to be deleting Google reviews regarding the fire evacuation as well, which is very disappointing. I'm sure this is a nice place to stay, but know that you will be supporting people who will evacuate themselves without making any effort to communicate with guests or disable further bookings, and are okay with keeping hundreds of dollars in guest fees.
unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip as the area was under a mandatory evacuation order due to a major wildfire. I inquired about a refund and got a form response denying any refunds in the event of a fire. the host did not communicate with us at all to notify us of the mandatory evacuation order or tell us not to come, potentially putting our safety at risk. I reached out to Airbnb support when the order went into effect and the host still denied the refund even though evacuation orders are clearly covered under Airbnb's major disruptive events policy. fortunately Airbnb support provided me with a full refund. the listing was still active and accepting new reservations for the duration of the evacuation period. the total lack of communication and care for guest safety, willingness to just keep our money in violation of policies, and other reviews noting that they still allow campfires during wildfire season make it highly unlikely that we will return in...
Read moreIf I could rate a zero star, I would. But it has nothing to do with the property. The "host" Peter was very unprofessional. We had to cancel that same day as it was impossible to get there due to extenuating circumstances (roadside emergency). I called him and left him several messages and he did not get back to me for over 5 hours. I did receive their cancellation policy, but still requested a refund due to something that was unavoidable. When he did correspond, he was smug, pompous, uncompassionate, unprofessional and rude. I hope he's not the owner! And if he's not, I hope the owner of the resort will look at who they have representing their business.
UPDATE: The only thing truthful from this response is that my review had nothing to do with the property as you can see I stated above. I called the same day to notify that we would not be coming and got no answer. I sent two messages on the 3rd party site (Airbnb) and got no response until over 5 hours later. We were never a no show. They had a no refund policy, but I did ask to see if they would make an exception based on our circumstance. My review and opinion is based on the excessive response time by the host and the unprofessional manner to...
