A rare find. This Absolutely charming inn combines the warm and cozy feel of a Bed and Breakfast (complete with the most inviting and caring host) along with the magic of being surrounded by historical pieces and the immaculately clean and PERFECT condition you see in only the finest hotels. I usually steer clear of these quaint Inns, despite enjoying them, because my daughter and I are very dust allergic and I’m quite OCD about cleanliness in hotels. We were in a jam with an unexpected cold night at a planned camping event and called Joanne fairly last minute for a room. She spent extra time to email me directions in the case reception was bad and worried that we drove safe. She then waited up for us. We walked into a perfectly set up display of night snacks, tea and hot chocolate. She was so kind and interested in my 11 year old daughter’s camp experience. My daughter enjoyed using the original skeleton key to open our room. The room was cozy and smelled incredibly clean because it was. When I say there was not one speck of dust or smudge in sight, I mean not one! Even the corners of the baseboards were pristine. Everything smelled as if it were brand new. I marveled at how not one detail was left unattended; from the motion lighting on each step to the usbc adapter on the outlet. We slept deeply and had no allergies during our stay (this never happens for us in hotels). Joanne even woke up early to have breakfast made for us. The quiche was outstanding as was everything. We left feeling an unusual blend; feeling as if we had just ended the most loving stay with a caring family member in a beautiful historical home but also had experienced all the food, cleanliness and accommodations of a luxury high end resort. Regrettably, we had to rush out for our flight in the morning. In the brief moment we had to see the river and hear the birds, it was exquisite. We hope to return very soon to the Roebling inn where history hugs you with...

Read moreWe had a trip booked to the area for the 4th of July weekend, and when our Inn that we booked was not open (that is another story for a review) we spoke with a local merchant about the situation, it was Friday night and raining and the local merchant called the Roebling Inn which was 5 minutes away. Fortunately Joanne (Inn keeper at Roebling) had a cancellation on her cottage rental and we booked over the phone. Upon arrival Joanne was welcoming, the Inn sits beautifully right on the Delaware river. The cottage was a small 1 bedroom, with a small kitchen. It was perfect for our needs. In the morning Joanne text us to join in complimentary breakfast at the Inn. We enjoyed the breakfast and Joanne provided us information on area sites. We inquired about area churches and Joanne researched and emailed us the local services. The town is very quaint, we were able to walk to Church and the Lackawaxen Inn for dinner. The Lackawaxen Inn is a local favorite and hidden gem. Food was good, clientele very friendly and prices were reasonable for the area.|All in all, 5 stars for this Inn, and we would stay again! Thank you Joanne for accommodating us at the...
