This one hurts because driving up it looked so pretty and was well located. Staff was so welcoming. Lobby gorgeous and clean. Hallway to room clean too. My kiddo saw basketball hoops so was so excited! Get to our door, key unlocks the door but door won’t budge. Daughter and I push with all our might still can’t get it. Husband came up with our bags and he is able to get it open but the door is completely crooked so gets stuck. If I were here alone I wouldn’t be able to exit the room which is a major fire safety issue. Additionally while settling in we notice numerous cleanliness issues so my husband asked if we could have a cleaning spray bottle to clean what we found unsanitary and they promptly sent someone to clean up the items needed tending to. But after he left I found more disgusting messes that never should have been missed when cleaning. We also were lacking any toiletries including soap so I couldn’t even wash my hands until we asked for these Items. Hard floors sticky. Carpet turned my socks black. Dishes dirty too and most hotels have a disclaimer about the sanitation process for these too but no signage. Our room has a QR code to tip our housekeeper Precious and we usually tip housekeepers but we tipped the gentleman who cleaned up what she missed instead. I was trying to give benefit of doubt that she was rushed but our room was ready at noon despite us telling them we’d not arrive til 8 (and that’s when we arrived). I’ve never felt so dirty despite showering so am disappointed because it’s a great layout and safe area with wonderful staff and a free breakfast but I can’t recommend a hotel with such low cleaning standards to point it’s not safe. Attached photos of what looks like a semen splatter on a desk, stains on furniture, dirty kitchen sink, sticky crusty food splattered microwave, what I HOPE is ketchup with hair in it on coffee table, dirty mirrors, messy floors, black mold in shower curtain rod, slimy kitchen chair, a size sticker on ground that doesn’t match any of our clothes sizes. This hotel will be GREAT if it fixes its housekeeping issues so really didn’t want to complain but from photos can’t ignore or recommend others…

Customer service is a NEGATIVE at this point!!! I am expressing my deepest disappointment and frustration regarding a recent experience at Homewood Suites by Hilton 5485 Financial Plaza Shreveport, LA. I made a reservation for a hotel suite several days in advance and checked in using my Hilton app. The app indicated that my digital key was being prepared, so I had every reason to believe my reservation was confirmed and ready. However, upon arrival, I was informed that my reserved room was unavailable. The front desk attempted to offer an alternate room, but it was not suitable for my party’s needs. My family and I had traveled over three hours for an important event, and due to this issue, we were delayed by over an hour. No one from the hotel contacted me in advance to inform me of the issue with my reservation, which is unacceptable and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I was still charged for the room despite not being able to stay in it, and I later received an email stating that my reservation had been canceled—implying that I had initiated the cancellation. I want to be clear: I did not cancel this reservation. The cancellation was entirely due to the hotel’s inability to honor the booking. It took me over an hour to find alternate accommodations for my group, and we struggled due to limited availability in the area. This experience caused significant inconvenience, stress, and a negative impact on our trip. This level of service is not what I expect from Hilton and certainly not from a brand that prides itself on hospitality and reliability. I strongly urge you to investigate this matter and take appropriate steps to make it right. At the very least, I expect a full refund and a formal apology. I should not be charged for a late cancellation due to someone’s mishap or overbooking in the hotel. I will not be recommending this location to anyone in the future based on this experience. What’s the point of making reservations when you guys can’t honor it? 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

The quality of this hotel has declined significantly. It has been my hotel of choice when I visit Shreveport. Unfortunately, my most recent visit will be my last. It is obvious that the housekeeping staff and the maintenance staff are either not being held accountable to doing a good job or they simply just don’t care.

My first few days were spent in a regular King room. Upon entry into the room, it appeared that someone must have destroyed the room at one point. The lamp over the sink must have been torn off. The fix was a sloppy welding job with the shade still hanging off. There was a large crack on the shower wall around the bar as if it had been ripped out at some point and haphazardly repaired. Hair that wasn’t mine was on the bathroom floor and on the sink. It was late so I pulled out my Clorox wipes and made the space tolerable. The shower gel was almost empty but there was enough to last until housekeeping came.

Housekeeping came my second day at the hotel. I assumed the shower gel would be refilled and the hair would be gone when I returned. Negative. The shower gel was never replaced and the hair remained in the same spot where I left it. The trash can in the bathroom remained full. Only 2 washcloths remained though I started with 3. No dish soap was provided to clean dishes. I had received a message earlier in the day from the hotel asking about my accommodations. I responded by letting them know about the shower gel, hair, towels and dish soap. The response I received was an offer to come to the front desk to get washcloths and dish soap. Housekeeping never returned to resolve the other issues the remainder of my stay in that room.

The kicker of the stay was when the power went out. There was no storm so that was not a factor. I returned to the hotel and saw that the lights were out down some of the halls. When I entered my room, the A/C was not working but I still had lights. The cable was not working but it had been going in and out the whole time I was there. I was ok watching TV on my phone until repairs were made…until the room went completely black. No lights. No anything! It took some time for everything to eventually come back on.

Upon the conclusion of that reservation, I transitioned to a double because a family member was going to stay with me. I assumed the first room may have been a fluke and I was going to have a better experience with the double. Negative AGAIN. I started to assume that housekeeping does not have vacuums available because there was a cluster of small trash on the carpet in front of the door. Additionally, we discovered more hair everywhere. We decided to lay towels on the floor to walk on. I pulled out the Clorox wipes again. The closet doors were offline and it took me awhile to get them straight. This room was also missing dish soap and there was little to no water pressure in the kitchen. The cable continued to go in and out. It wasn’t until the second night that we discovered that there was a blood stain on the comforter. I wasn’t using my comforter on my bed so it was used to replace the blood stained one on the other. That was the last night spent at this hotel.

It's unfortunate that the quality has diminished so much. The front desk staff is always nice but the housekeeping and maintenance of the property is horrendous. We paid hotel prices for...

I have resided here for a duration of 22 days. I'm here on business.I travel extensively and have experienced a range of accommodations, from the truly remarkable to those that leave much to be desired. This moment in time represents a rather unfavorable situation. | However, there is certainly room for improvement, despite the fact that the entire stay was not entirely negative. It would be inaccurate to assert that the staff lacks friendliness, as they have mastered the art of hospitality with remarkable precision. It appears to me that they may be experiencing a shortage of personnel and possibly facing an excessive workload. Housekeeping is quite an arduous task. They enter, make the bed, yet neglect to take out the garbage, which perplexes me entirely. During my time here, I have observed that my bed has been made on three occasions, yet the bathroom remains uncleaned, and dust persists on the shelves. Additionally, the complimentary coffee has not been replenished, though I find it acceptable given that Starbucks is conveniently located nearby.| My expectations for a fully stocked kitchen, as advertised, included a minimum of two or three cooking pots—one large and one small—a spatula, and at least a basic can opener from a discount store. What I received includes a modest pot, a frying pan that appears to have outlived its usefulness, a lack of storage bowls, and glasses that pose a risk of injury if handled carelessly. This issue was addressed, as they did replace the three broken glasses, but only after I brought it to their attention.|It seems imperative that housekeeping is supported by an individual tasked with overseeing their work, perhaps by developing a comprehensive checklist detailing the necessary cleaning procedures for each room. It is essential to report issues such as broken glasses, mold or mildew, as well as any matters that require attention in the rooms. It appears that there is a deficiency in their understanding of the standards that define a clean room. It is essential to acknowledge the ongoing presence of COVID, along with various other contagious viruses and bacteria.|The accommodations are satisfactory; however, the carpets would benefit from a thorough cleaning, and the bathrooms, particularly in my room, are in need of modernization. This establishment ought to consider the acquisition of a generator, given its susceptibility to power interruptions. (two since my arrival).|The water exhibits an odor, yet I have been informed that this is a systemic issue affecting the entire city's water supply. One would assume that Hilton would allocate resources towards implementing additional filtration measures. The situation is dire when the water is deemed undrinkable, instilling a sense of trepidation even towards bathing, as one contemplates the potential long-term consequences that may or may not manifest in the foreseeable future. |I trust that management will attend to these concerns promptly, as a location with such potential for excellence can easily deteriorate if not...
