We are a family that LOVES getting out and doing things in our own backyard. Native to Oregon we decided to go to Camp Dakota for 5 days in July. I CANâT SAY ENOUGH!!!! Family owned and beyond what I could have imagined! Online booking took me a couple phone calls to understand, but the way they âscheduleâ the events, is really cool and professional. Itâs a great system, trust the system and just call if itâs confusing.||This is the coolest place tucked away in this tiny little town. LOVED IT!!!!!! STAFF WAS WONDERFUL!!!! TIP YOUR STAFF!!! What a great place to work in the summer for these young adults! ||||ZIP LINING was worth every penny!!! I have four boys, 7 years old to 17 AND THEY ALL HAD A GREAT TIME DOING THIS. Our instructor (had a Camp Dakota tattoo on his calf) was so cool, funny and overall cared about everyoneâs safety and having a good time. He made sure everyone left smiling and everyone really did! I really appreciated his style that he put into the experience!! The kids liked him. || ARCHERY was well ran and I felt safe with the no-nonsense âgoofing aroundâ. They didnât allow kids/teenagers to mess around with the equipment. I appreciated that very much as a parent wanting my boys to have a good-safe time. It was awesome. I tipped the most at this station đ.|| PANNING FOR GOLD, this would be better with running water, not standing water, but my 7 year old really enjoyed it and we made sure to buy the bag with the arrowhead in it because the office staff made it into a necklace for my son. (ALSO, the kids can earn beads to make a necklace with at the end of your trip. Get the check off list at the office and your kids can collect beads throughout your stay). ||MYSTERY ROOM was fun and cool for our family. We like escape rooms and this was a cool way to do one while camping. They took an old box-car (I think) and inside made it this cool old western escape room. A little small (our group of 6 was about all I would put in there), but the clues and the gadgets that get set off are really fun and neat. The staff here was so cute and even came in at the end to help us with a couple last clues to finish â¤ď¸||ROCK WALL-all of my boys rock climbed, even the 17 year old! The kids can rock climb all day and itâs free with the adventure wrist band! Very worth it!!! ||TREE LINE ADVENTURE-They had a side for younger kids and a very challenging one for the olders and adults. My boys said this was really fun, but actually took a lot more strength then they expected! Good workout! They talked about this experience a lot and said it was really fun!||PAINTBALL-đŹ. The outdoor course is pretty cool for the terrain and woodsie feel. It was SO HOT the day we played though (94 degrees/July), I would recommend booking an early session time in hot months. They have misters which helped, but if you wear layers and gear you can imagine how hot everyone gets. I did think the âwait timeâ in between sessions was too long especially in the heat. It would have been better to keep the games going quicker. Just my thought, but I also donât play, just watch. Probably not a first-time paintball kind of place unless itâs super not busy and you can ask for one on one instruction. But, my boys played 4 games and LOVED IT-they had no complaints-they were just really sweaty. ||SHOWERS đż- they had showers!!! This was nice, only bad thing, They take quarters only and itâs $.25 cents for 1 minute. Thereâs also not a way to get quarters after hours. Great amenity though just plan. ||The camp site areas are far enough apart that we werenât on top of our neighbors, but the kids made friends and had others to hangout with. We stayed in an RV site with hookups, but there are yurts and normal camp sites. The yurts I heard were really really cool. ||OVERALL I would give Camp Dakota 10 STARS if I could!! THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE STAFF AND ESPECIALLY Juggernaut who took my 800 phone calls and set us up wonderfully even when we arrived! THANK YOU AND WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN!!!! (All the staff have super cute nick names!). I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We will make this...

The air hockey table has seen better days but it did work and had 2 pucks. The foosball table looked brand new with 1 ball. The ceiling fan work and the lights also. The did gave a white box fan and that work also. The stove work but with the weather at night being in the 50's it would take us about 2-3 hours to get that place nice and warm comfortable in shorts warm. Fire wood are in plastic bins 10.00 a bin or 3 for 25.00 they also have duraflame quick start for 2.00 each. so tip bring your own they sell them at Safeway or winco for 6.00 to 3.00 a bundle of wood. The bbq is gas and they supply that gas we didn't have any problems with it and it work great even had a brush to clean the grill and a long lighter. Another tip bring flash lights it's dark. I mean pitch black dark there are no lights out side and depending were your camp site is and the bathrooms aka portapotty you might have a long walk or like us in yurt 15 its right across from us. Ok so the portapottys can't complain they were clean and on the second day they came and clean it and add toilet paper wife was purty happy so over all the stay was great we had 3 adults and 5 kids and still had room for 2 or 3 more people. We will definitely come back and recommend this to others. Ok so let's see paint ball no madder what package you buy for paint ball unless specify implied each person must buy a minimum of 200 paintballs each "after" THAT you can buy extra and split the balls with another person if you want. NO you can not bring or use your own paintballs do dont ask. Zipline and there adventurer course are extra and 35.00 per adult/ kid. The store prices are not over the top around 2 to 5 dollars more then stores at home but who ever is surprised about that need to get a reality check. Their coffee was good no compliments about that and prices weren't crazy I was actually purty happy with them. Did not try the pizza but it look good and yes some of the pizza they make are premade there and froze but I personally watch them make fresh and deliver it so I take it to save sometime they premake some. Goal for next time to try some pizza prices around 19.00 to 26.00. Showers did not use but did go see not going to lie didn't look great. Very dirty and they do charge .25 a minute if look like they only have 2. So I hope this helps you in your choice and hope that you and your family have a great time.
Came back this July 2020 stayed in yurt 26 small very small it fits 6 period. 2 on the bottom bunk and 1 on top and a fireplace. Only 2 bunk beds a table and 4 chairs. The camp site was big but it is a walk to the fire pit. The stairs are hard to climb as they are not level with the floor and have a big step to the first one. It is pushed back from the road and does give you better then average privacy. A big plus is that paint ball is right...

First off let me say that the campground is beautiful and clean. However, I came up for the day to play paintball with a large group and we didn't have a great time. I'll start this review off by the overwhelming list of CONS, PROS, and some things I think would make for a better experience.
CONS
We arrived early evening at about 4:30pm. We got our gear and had to wait for the ref and the lady (who was nice) to give us our paintballs. We didn't start a game until 4:55pm. The service was terrible, the ref (only 1 ref on a 16v16 game) would disappear after a game for 10-15 mins. After one game my group and I had the same complaint, our masks fogged up within five minutes of playing. Not only were the masks terrible, but the guns had extremely short barrels and the balls would veer off after about 10 ft. When a couple of us asked how to lessen the amount of fog on our masks their reply (in a snarky tone) was, "don't breathe." Yeah funny I suppose, but if we weren't having so much trouble trying to get a game going and having our guns be complete crap I wouldn't have looked into that comment too much. It just set the tone for the rest of the night.
I heard a lot of great things and even read reviews about their paintball and heard nothing but great things. The ref (younger man) would tell us what game we were playing, what field we were playing on, and gave us a short amount of time in game. We had suggested early in our night that we just wanted to do Team Deathmatch with no objectives. He wouldn't let us do it. People would be shot and the ref wouldn't call them out because he can't cover such a large area by himself. The employees didn't offer to clean masks or to clean out the tube in the guns.
One last thing I would say is a bit of trouble is there isn't enough daylight coming through. Lots of trees are great as cover, but block a lot of the light coming though. The first course we played on was hard to see other players. However, this wasn't the issue on the other field.
PROS
Both fields are really well designed. The first field as you walk in is pretty narrow, but good for a 8v8 game (not a 16v16 game as we did). The prices are fair running at $30 for entry that comes with gun, mask, unlimited C02 and 500 paintballs. Group of 8+ you save $5 a person. The staging area is nice as there is a lot of places to sit and an under covered bench area. Safety video on the TV is quick and easy to follow.
WHAT THEY CAN IMPROVE ON*
I would have loved to see the employees and refs be more helpful and spend a little bit of money to get guns that would actually shoot straight. Warpaint actually helps out in this department. I don't play a lot of paintball but I know that Warpaint has better equipment and service than Camp Dakota. I really would love to come back if they would improve on the CONS which is why I gave it a Poor-Fair score on...
