VERY NICE MOM AND POP MOTEL!!!

I am currently Traveling through the Slayton Minnesota area. Staying the night at the Hilltop Inn Motel, located right off of US Highway 59 in the Town of Slayton, Minnesota. VERY easy access from the highway. Very nice inside Lobby, reminds me of a Hunter's Lodge. Excellent down home type Decor and super clean. Looks like these Folks. Enjoy their business and take care of their property very well. The General Manager Christie is a very nice good hearted lady who is beyond PLEASANT .Treats people good. Definitely a people person for sure. The Rooms are very large and Clean beyond normal standards. There are power strips, mounted Flat Screened TVs with good Channel menu line up. Nice Clean Bathrooms and Tubs, Carpets are really clean with nice entry Rugs. Even has Two Chair. Recliners in my Room. Bed appears to be nearly new and very comfortable. As I mentioned, it appears that the Owners and Manager have went above and Beyond to make sure that Guests have a nice stay. The consistent good Reviews written on this Motel definitely reflect this! My Overall Opinion on this place is a good one. A safe, clean, and very hospitable. American Owned Motel. VERY Affordable!! Why pay more at your bigger Chain Motels and get less service. Ya get down home service here. Save some money and stay right here. Make this your designated stop when Traveling US Highway 59 North or South while coming through Slayton. Close proximity to all amenities within just a short distance. Let's Support Our Local Mom and Pop Small Businesses and Motels as that is the American Way!!! Recently traveled to Slayton for a family event; have been in the Slayton/Lake Wilson area many times for family events but had never stayed here--I didn't actually know about it. The rooms are roomy and clean, with TV, microwave, and mini-fridge, and a couple of large, fluffy, comfortable chairs. There is free WiFi. The mattress was firm (the owner apparently put new mattresses in all the units recently). The office area has a bit of an outdoors theme, and has enough lobby area for a small group, or even two groups, to gather. There is ice in the lobby and a large percolator urn of coffee in the morning. The room can be accessed from the hallway or the parking lot. It is not a fancy place, but is clean and welcoming. No, there is no spa or pool, and you'll have to do your workout on your own. But, the value is excellent (compared to places in Pipestone) and all you need for a comfortable stay is there. In fact, we made reservations for our annual family reunion in the area...
