My wife, daughter and I had the opportunity to spend a few days here in early July. The camp hosts were outstanding. They provided excellent input on the area and even took one day to go ATVing with us - showing some of the more beautiful parts of the Rim - elk, deer, wild horses, all manner of birds. We love rock-hounding and were able to find a wide variety of rocks. We also loved their afternoon Happy Hour (4ish). We sat under awning while watching the rain blow in, met several people from back home (literally within a mile of each other back in IL), and simply had a blast telling stories and laughing lots over a couple of drinks. They spent a lot of time with me on the phone before hand to make sure they had a spot I would be happy with. I feel like it’s a little tight to move around with my rig but we were able to get in and out. Only used the facilities once on the way out and it was clean and in order. I would like to visit again if we can get a big flat spot. The water pressure was great and the sewer and power worked fine. The WIFI did not work and low cell phone signals. Read moreThis rustic campground with full hookups is wonderful. The sites have lots of shade and there is plenty of room between sites. The hosts Mike and Susan have happy hour every night at 4 just outside their home so you get to meet your neighbors. It is very quiet at night and you can hear the elk calling from the meadow and the coyotes yipping. We highly recommend this campground and will definitely be back.
