HollyHedge Estate — Hotel in Solebury Township

Where to even start about HollyHedge Estates. My (now husband) and I had our first meeting with HollyHedge February 2022. We met with Michelle. She spent at least an hour and a half showing us all the beauty of HHE and answering all of the dozens of questions we had. Every concern I had (like what to do if it rains) she had an immediate answer or game plan. She also encouraged us to go and view other properties to ensure HHE was what we wanted. Well, after viewing a few other local venues and running numbers, it was a no brainer that HHE would be where we would get married. The many packages they have and their ability to build you your perfect wedding while working with your budget is wonderful. I never felt like we had to “skimp” to have the wedding of our dreams. Both Michelle and Gabbi were quick to respond to any questions I had or concerns that had risen. It felt like in a blink of an eye we were scheduled for our menu tasting. I have never been to such a wonderfully run event. My fiancé, my mom, his mom and I went and never had so much amazing food (and portions!) ever. I don’t think any of us ate for days after because we were so full! The abundance of options for us to try was only a small portion of the actual menu. Soon after we met with Gabbi for our menu meeting. From that point on Gabbi became our day of point person. Let me tell you a little about Gabbi. I have never received such individual attention from anyone involved in customer service. She went above and beyond in every single aspect. She helped me build our day to be exactly what we always planned! She knew sticking to our budget was really important to us. She never tried to force us to upsell on anything. She never tried to persuade me that my day wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t spend an absurd amount of money. She worked within our budget and helped create a dream day. Even the week leading up to the wedding, Gabbi was in constant contact making sure everything was perfect. All while staying calm and keeping my nerves at bay! Before we knew it, our wedding day was here. From the moment we showed up at 8am to start the day, Gabbi made sure every single one of our needs were met. She ran around like a chicken with no head and never once came across as flustered or stressed. She offered no only great customer service but gave emotional support and cheered us on as we walked down the aisle. During cocktail hour, Gabbi will snag you and give you and your husband a chance to enjoy happy hour (in full or just in part, your choice) alone. We chose to spend about half just my husband and I. During the reception Michael and Mary took over as our point people for the evening. Mary did a wonderful job keeping all the evening activities flowing nicely and making sure everyone was happy. Now. Michael. Michael was such an incredible maître d’ that Rob nor I wanted for anything. Our drinks were always full, as were our bellies. I honestly don’t think my wedding would have been even a fraction of as nice, relaxed, organized or yummy had it been up to me solely. And I definitely could not have done nearly as nice in our budget if it wasn’t for HHE. We have just passed one week since our wedding and the amount of compliments we have received, from basically everyone, has been incredible. Most wedding there is at least ONE complaint somewhere, but not a single one of our guest had a single negative thing to say. I highly suggest anyone looking to get married or have an event, do it at HHE. You won’t be disappointed.

Great Staff + Facility for Wedding Reception||- - - - - - - -||October, 2023 Visit||Our family visited Philadelphia for a family wedding. We had a good time.||The wedding Mass was at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in Doylestown, and the reception was at Hollyhedge Estate.||The bride (our niece) and groom, and the families, found a fantastic location with a great staff, at a wonderful location… so good that even a light rain throughout the day could not dampen the event.||Hollyhedge and The 1740 House have the same owners, and they offer a shuttle bus from our room to the reception… we were able to socialize on the ride and not worry about driving home… three bus times were available.|||- - -|The Arrival|- - -||Our first impression was a strongly positive one… it was still raining lightly as we arrived and as we stepped off the bus, there was a sizeable team of Hollyhedge team members holding umbrellas waiting to escort each of us / each couple inside… not a single raindrop fell on our clothes, thanks to “The Hollyhedge ‘Umbrella Brigade’.” (my respectful term)|||- - -|The Food - Hours d’Ouvres|- - -||Some fantastic hours d’Ouvres were served, and if there had no been a site-down dinner, another couple of rounds of these would have filled us nicely… each and all were fantastic!| - meat and cheese and fruit trays| - bacon-wrapped shrimp| - salmon fish tacos| - grilled cheese and tomato soup| - Philly cheesesteaks bites| - Hamburger sliders| - fried chicken on a waffle||||- - -|The Food - Dinner|- - -||VERY good steak, and potatoes and veggies; and the person who ordered the chicken shared approval of her dish, too.||And wonderful desserts which disappeared, fast.||Good wine at the table, and the bar, which is a full bar.||||- - -|The Basket at the Sink in the Restrooms|- - -||In both men’s and women’s room had baskets with anything you could think of… perfume, band-aids, and more… thankfully barely touched, but they thought of anything… to get you cleaned up and back out on the dance floor.||||- - -|The Reception|- - -||The reception was in a Hall accessed via a short walk from the main building. It has high ceilings, and a bar and comfortably seated the ~200 guests.||And the dance floor was the place to be.||||- - -|The Ride Home, back to The 1740 House|- - -||After the main room was closed for the night, we went back to the front building for more socializing and a snack and then the buses got us back to the 1740 House, safe and sound|||Thank you, Hollyhedge...

Joe the owner of Holy Hedge Estate has incompetent employees (Key Fox) whom offered to make my wedding inviations and mailed them out. She did not even check the date! She put the WRONG DATE WITH THE WRONG DAY and mailed it to all of my guests. Joe called and said they will not take responsibility for this service! Key then set up cake taste testing of which the wrong cakes were prepared for the testing and when I kindly mentioned this to the baker Jeanine got the paperwork that Key filled out WITH her signature and again Key made another mistake. Joe called me and stated that he was insulted that I made him aware of these mistakes and canceled my wedding which is in 6 weeks. Later that day I decided to see what experiences other brides have had with Holy Hedge Estate. If you use your CELL PHONE to view REAL reviews you will see that many brides say that Holy Hedge offers up a dose of ATTITUDE and INCOMPETENCE. Joe the owner should READ THE REVIEWS and see that mobile reviews state the following: Attitude problem Musty oders in every room of 1740 House due to previous floods one reviewer stated they could not get the musty oder out of their clothing after staying at 1740 house they stated it was too late to book another lodging accomodation. Bridal reviews state to RUN because of the incompetence. Joe when I spoke to you I was addressing the issues yet you took them personally and yelling at me because I brought this to your attention is in no way professional. Saying I have "fancy friends" well yes I do. I would call the White House Chef a fancy friend and I planned on bringing my fancy friends to you for business but since you said that you also have "fancy friends" in a condesending way is the "attitude" that many people are saying they are experiencing from your business. By the way your suppression campaign to write your own reviews on the internet are glarringly fake so why don't you address the real issues at hand. I was merely letting you know that you needed to address problems. Taking it personally is unprofessional and I am glad to find a facility that will provide me with the professional service that any bride...
