This campsite is really clean. Dont expect to be alone during the day as the Fire personnel are active around these backroads. In the night it is really quiet. Occasionally you can hear a car or 2 pass by on the road. The bathrooms are extremely clean. (Please help the camp host by keeping them that way). Wild Turkeys came in to camp with their baby Turkeys. No other wildlife seen. Big Ol spiders so be aware. It’s their home. The campfire ring is huge. No electricity or signal here. A few peeps would get a wave of signal here or there. Keep the dogs leashed so they don’t go off and get hurt. There is water and it is potable as of 6/2024. Cheers !

Just outside yosemite 15mi, and close to rainbow pool! Perfect spot to stay if you dont want to camp in the madness of yosemite national park. Quiet, relaxed, with a caretaker in the summertime. Outhouses well cared for. Flys in the summer, but not much you can do about that. Bear boxes at each camp for food storage. Mine had ants, so make sure all food is sealed up! Great nearby scenery, huge vista just east of the campground

Awesome campground first come first serve, reasonable prices n far enough off the highway ya don’t here too much. Waters off for the season looks like, vault restrooms still open. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here after arriving at our originally planned site (Lost Claim) was surrounded in poison ivy. Not much better luck here. We were surrounded by large groups of yellow jackets whenever we cooked, had any kind of water out, or basically just existed outside of the tent. I had never seen them so bad. Especially at the camp water source and bathrooms. Our truck had at least 50 wasps on or around it while packing up. Most of the sites are flat, but also in the direct sun with not much shade. It takes about an hour to get to Yosemite Valley from the site. The host was very kind and helpful. It definitely wasn’t his fault that we had such a hard time with yellow jackets. We ended up leaving a day early because it was so bad we couldn’t enjoy time outside...

$21 per night. American Land and Leisure maintains the pit toilets which are very clean. There is not a clear path to walk to the toilets, so you have to decide which campsite you will walk thru to get there. They should designated a path to the toilets so campers don't feel like they are walking thru others campsites. Water was available at the spigot. Bring ear plugs, there were campers being loud late at night. Some spots are very sunny...
